You're both a pain in the ass.
  14. I've got the Rage and I like it, I've tried the Grivel and it's close to as good as the Rage, and I've tried the Quark and it takes everything to extremes, and I don't like it. No troll.
  15. My Achilles hurt a bunch a few years back. I got different shoes and took it easy for a while. No problems now.
  16. If you weigh the Rage you will notice they are among the LIGHTER tools on the market. And, if you measure the circumference, you will notice that they have among the SMALLEST grips on the market. And if you have ever swung either of these tools you will know that Grivel sucks! if you actually HOLD A RAGE AND A QUARK or A RAGE AND AN ALP WING in your hand you will see the Rage weighs about 200 grams more than its advertised weight and feels like a chunk of lead. and instead of an ergonomic grip they have a flat, non ergonomic pinky rest. hmmmm. and if you swingh them you will find that the sweet spot for the grivel and the charlet is in the pick where it should be, while for the rage it's somewhere half way up the shaft, not in the head at all rages SUCK Dru, what are you smoking? The Rage feels LIGHTER than the Alp Wing. And the shape of the shaft and the pinky fuckthing give more control to your swing. It is quite a bit better balanced than the Grivel, and just as well balanced as the Quark. Quark is ungainly due to the massive clearance of the design. And the Quark pinky fuckthing is so huge that shaft-plunging is impossible. And CM still makes tools with lame aluminum heads and tiny screws. BD ROCKS!

  18. While the limits may be obvious to you (no hammers on clean routes, etc.), I think newbies could use something like the Tyrol Declaration to refer to as they learn their own style. I don't really see the document as setting anything in stone and it's certainly not a rule book. But do you want to give control to committees and organizations? Like in Russia, where climbers had to join clubs, all climbs were recorded, and you could only attempt a 5.10 after the club decided you had climbed enough 5.9s. And if you failed on the 5.10 you would have to go back to 5.9s for three years?????? Long's book has a section on ethics for newbies who pound pins on Da Toof or Ingalls. But keep the rules out of it, thanks.
