Asgard? Nasty place if you are ill prepared and unaware. DT? Likely more folks both prepared and aware have been killed on DT than all the rest of the Enchantments/Staurt combined.
May be I should just stay home and watch TV:)
But Sol is right...likely next week and a little sunshine will make anything possible. Seems to in the Rockies anyway!
A friend keeps telling me I have no clue but my thought is the gullies are climbable and the ridge rocks routes as well...neither in perfect shape. Gerber/Sink might not be much fun. Weather is suppose to be good Tuesday through the weekend. I was there a couple of days before the road reopened. At least the trail will likely be more fun
Anyone interested in moderate climbs mid week Tues to Friday? One day or multiples? Lots of options on climbs and times/dates. But generally some what longer c2c efforts hold my interest as do bottom to top cragging trad routes. I will likely be in the area climbing Tuesday thru Friday.
And here is the final read, part 4 of "climbing sac".

I learned enough just writing it to have yet another couple of packs made up for my own use.

"This game we all play is just that, a game."
Back from the undead to offer an opinion
Life is a game. And there is an end to every game.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)
"He was a man who looked at what ought to be done, not to the reputation which is got by a man's acts." Marcus Aurelius (121-180AD)
Two simple reasons why we can't all get along. And a third...I often mutter under my breath.
"Unreasonable men make life difficult."
This was pointed out to me yesterday and thought I'd pass it on.

Feet swell from use not from altitude. If your feet swell at 5K feet they will likely swell at 20K'. Never seen a client's or partner's feet swell. Never heard of anyone's feet swelling.
Wive's tell and totally bs.
On the other hand the early '80s foam liners did swell. If you were going high enough it was worth addressing and easy enough by just using thinner socks up high. The insulation was better when the inner foam did swell btw. So thinner socks wasn't a big deal if your feet were tough enough.
Not a worry in today's boots.
Sunburn your feet? Then they will swell
Dang it Sol! Ya scared there as I first thought Air Roof had been down graded to 5.10 It is a relief that it is still considered strenious at least by modern standards.
"like maybe 30 people hanging out having a good time, but still reserved, no naked dancing or crazy shit like that"
Ah, so that is the real problem. The 160# kid came to pardddddddieeeeeeee. No party happening obviously so he needed to start his own. Had that happen a few times in Butte. I'm tell ya beer pong can be some dangerious shit.
