Bug, I think the general, underlying tenants of behaviour espoused by christianity are good thing and do not worry me in the least. this is true with every religion i've studied. the underlying principles are pretty sound way to live your life. it's the modern interpretations and actions of a given religions followers that worry me. b/c i live in the US, the christians worry me. if i lived someplace else i would probably worry about the effects of the major religion in that locale. my underlying point is this: why do we need religion. each religion, at it's core, espouses a fundamental set of guidelines for living. all them seem to have a pretty good foundation. be nice to each other, don't steal, cheat, lie, kill etc. the fundamentals are all the same. why have so many? why have any for that matter. go on about living a good life and don't worry about your neighbor's beliefs eh?

"joy in the universe, and keen curiosity about it all-that has been my religion" - John Burroughs. merv- i think the crux of this issue for any of us who do not subscribe to a particular organized religion is that religion (the whole big thing not just christianity) is forced into our lives every single day. for those of you who are christian it would be the same has having to traditions of islam forced into the smallest parts of your world day after day after day after day after day. while there may be no egregious insult, there is a continuous afront to one's sensibility. i simply do not understand why those of an organized religious persuasion feel the need to inflict their beliefs upon me and upon the rest of society. you keep your beliefs to yourself. quit telling my child he's going to hell if he doesn't believe. i'll keep mine to myself. i won't tell your children that the bible is wrong. have a nice day

well then tell the wildlife to quit invading my habitat! sheesh! deer in the backyard, coyotes in the field, birds chirping in the morning, that friggin rooster screaming at sunrise, snaffles eating my lunch. this has got to stop! they're ruining my domestic experience!

the north bend bar and grill should be avoided at all costs. blech! i've been sick each of the 4 times i've eaten there. North Bend suffers from a dirth of decent eateries. Try the rogue brew pub in Issaquah. tasty food and beer.

they did seem young. rural to suburban area. they've probably not been shot at. the situation was extremely unusualand very frightening at the time. We were in the middle of a wheat field so they saw and heard us approaching. They came in from 3 sides. I think my horse got involved b/c my dog was running under him. She was a beagle. Great dog. A tragic loss for me. I was too frightened to get off my horse but they neighbors heard me yelling. The farmer went and shot at least one of them and came saying she was VERY underweight. It had been a long cold and snowy winter. I imagine the unusual behaviour was the result hunger and desperation.

any of you wildlife biologist/behviour types out there help me out. i have always assumed that coyotes were more scared of me than i am of them since they have always trotted off. the other day i literally ran across a pack of 4 of them. they made absolutely no move toward me but absolutely no move away from me as i got closer. i had an experience a while ago where i was packed by 3 of them while riding my horse. my horse had teeth marks and they killed my dog. at the time, i had never seen coyotes do anything but run from a horse and rider. i've assumed that behavior resulted b/c it was early spring after a hard winter and my dog must've made a tasty looking snack to some underweight coyotes. after encountering those 4 yesterday, it got me to thinking a bit. am i as safe as i think i am near them?

I didn't say supremacy, minx. You're getting emotional and losing the ability to argue logically...pull it together. I never said anything about my personal supremacy, did I? Man, it's easy to get you spun up lately. my bad. i was thinking of the sum total of your content on this thread in addition to the quote above, including your inclusion of WAR and KKK to the discussion. despite what the KKK publicly states as a desire for separation their roots are in "supremacy" Yes, shockingly i have done some studying on the topic. perhaps that's why i'm riled up at your statements. as for the rest of it...i find nothing more annoying than someone being intentionally dense. you know that comment regarding your supremacy was dripping w/sarcasm

cracked...go back to the sandbox. this is spray. humor can be combined w/any topic.

greg it's time for you to just be quiet and go fold the towels now. buh bye Nice retory, sweetie, but it doesn't work. Nice dodge. got that 'sweet little wife' thing down yet? my husband isn't insecure enough to need me to be a 'sweet little wife' he's perfectly happy with 'sassy hot wife'. advancement doesn't equal supremacy. i seem to recall you posting all sorts of things about personally trying to get ahead. oh but i forgot...you are supreme when compared to everyone else.

that's b/c he's in his 30s and single, he's old, and he let a woman do his laundry. (he does it so much better himself)
-
greg, every now and then you say something so epicly stupid that there really is no point in discussing the topic with you.
-
i never even insuated that i'd vote for a Dem that supported the KKK or any such nonsense for any race. i just found this particular event to be horrifying.
-
or why the republican party won't have me as a voter. racism is A-OK i cannot believe this guy is for real or that the republican party will allow him to run as a member of the party.

not THAT is definitely a violation of the first ammendment

when he gets off his knees, he'll get right to your laundry. greg what brand of fabric softener do you recommend for all the ladies out there to use?

"I know, I know: You could never be a "surrendered wife." Just saying the words makes you feel like flossing. But that's exactly what Laura Doyle thought before she discovered the ecstasy of marital surrender. "When I stopped trying to control the way John did everything and started trusting him implicitly," she confides, "I began to have the marriage I've always dreamed of. When I stopped criticizing his ideas and taking over every situation as if he couldn't handle it, something magical happened. The man who wooed me was back." i think laura doyle was a controlling wench to begin with. she didn't need to surrender she just needed to quit being a controlling bitch.
