    zoinks! they have a "manifesto"!
  2. i like her socks.
  3. maybe specialed's saying that there's a cougar stalking mikey. maybe mikey needs to be shopping for MILF.
  4. if we're really lucky they're all out in the unseasonably early spring weather we've had and then it'll freeze hard. they'll all die and we'll be tick free.
  5. i'll take one of the rope babies if they reproduce i haven't had much of a problem with my eidelweiss tangling any worse than my mammut. but back to what fern said. we were very careful about uncoiling each of them the first time.
  6. better than Goat Fuckers
  7. GLP compliant by June??? BWAHAHAHAHA! whoa--that's a hurculean task for sure!
  8. thanks all. i'm particularly interested in snow sports. not so much site saying as something to do on a regular basis. never done any canyoneering. hopefully not as claustrophobic as caving!?!
  9. I know I can find this with a quick web search but I'd like to see some first hand reports. Any good skiing in the Southern part of the state? I'm sure there is but I don't know about it. St. George area and beyond.
  10. but what about those of us with dual use puffies? mine goes out to the mountains and frolicks in the fluffy goodness, goes to the barn on frozen mornings and sometimes even makes an appearance at the store if it's the handiest piece of outerwear. btw-when did "outerwear" get to be a universally accepted term. until about 5 years ago, i remember there being jackets, not "outerwear"
  11. Ever since you gave me those little blue pills, Minx, I NEED another goat. need and want are to entirely different things i take offense to that specialed. i absolutley do not hand out little blue pills. only little yellow ones. sheesh. now i'm hurt. you've been getting your pills from another source
  12. need and want are to entirely different things
  13. no, it was a special order and he didn't let specialed (that desperate fucker) steal it.

That might explain why y'all bitch and moan about not getting any, while I had dinner with 7 women on friday. so how was the quilting bee on friday? who brought the casserole?
  17. i think someone was afraid that they'd start professing their love for each other since it's valentine's day. it'll be back tomorrow.
  18. so there really is only one girlfriend for all the climbers out there

    Hey Fairweather

well we certainly wouldn't want to have a discussion on the topic of the iraq war, the value of symbols, what constitutes patriotism, etc. there's only one right way to think over on ASS.com. an exchange of ideas really is counter to having a dogma. speaking of symbols, i certainly would love to how many knots their collective nickers would get into over flag burning. now that has some potential for entertainment value.

    i suck

would somebody please explain to me why you have to pass a lead climbing test in order to belay a leader in the gym? shouldn't you just have to pass a lead belay check or something? i've belayed plenty of people leading stuff i'd never lead. haven't killed any of them yet
  21. Mammut Matrix needs only 2 and doesn't come with a disclaimer saying it will suck on a wet 8.4 mm rope (which is too big for the Reversino, duh!). Anybody has used it? drC yes, used it liked it. nice for the thin rope. feeds smoothly. doesn't feel quite as smooth on rap as my ATC but that could've been the route, my skills, or the rope.
  22. ken wins! i want to have his w/e.
  23. we climbed at LaClede this summer. Had a blast. Not too far from Sandpoint ID. Good rock, not crowded, plenty of routes, no approach. check Marty Bland's book.
  24. it is only a first step but hopefully it is a first step in a good direction.
  25. perhaps, a more positive way to look at this from a naysayer point of view would be this: at least something good can come out of this. a silver lining in a dark cloud. no matter how the adminstration wants to spin it, we went in looking WMD and didn't find them. then it became about freeing the Iraqi people--there's lots of other countries whose people need to be "freed" so why iraq? and of course it was NEVER about oil, money, or power now was it. i remain cynical about the underlying reasons, the true value in our choice to be there but choose to be optimistic that something good will come from this.
