There is a very good reason why the media don't reveal these abuses. Outside of whistleblowers, they don't have access to the information. Investigations depend on access to secret documents. The only way to get access to secret documents is for Congress to give an investigative body priviledges to view these documents.

Hey, the real issue isn't the merit of the belay device, it's choice. People don't like to be told what to do or how to do it. Experienced climbers want to make their own choices, not have someone else make choices for them.

I have friends who live in both Seattle and Everett and it would be a plus for me to be able to head up there to climb with then at no extra cost.
