The documents themselves were not leaked, only an outline of the existence of the illegal programs. The people who did the leaking were taking big risks with their lives and their future freedom.
There is a very good reason why the media don't reveal these abuses. Outside of whistleblowers, they don't have access to the information. Investigations depend on access to secret documents. The only way to get access to secret documents is for Congress to give an investigative body priviledges to view these documents.
you're not being told what to do.... if you use a gri-gri at vw - it's because you CHOOSE to go there.
This is now getting into semantics. Enough.
Another thing I wonder about is what will become of the carpet over foam at Cascade Crags? Will they rip it out and go back to gravel? I rather like the carpet, as it makes for a clean environment. It's good for top roping, but it sucks for bouldering. I dislike dragging crash pads around.
Hey, the real issue isn't the merit of the belay device, it's choice. People don't like to be told what to do or how to do it. Experienced climbers want to make their own choices, not have someone else make choices for them.
Stone Gardens: $43/month no initiation fee
Vertical World: $49/month, $40 initiation fee
Now it would be great if you could join VW and climb at any one of the four gyms. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think one can do that.
If the Republicans lose their majority in Congress, the proverbial substance will hit the fan at supersonic speed. It would be great fun to watch as all the skeletons fall out of the closet at once.
This picture is for the woman who pulled around my car and drove in front of me to stop on the railroad tracks.
I guess it is what comes of "negative reinforcement".
This is the place where you can buy the supplies you need to repair cam trigger wires. It's a great place. It was featured in the PI the other day. They've got some burly gear there. Ugh, ugh, ugh!

Thanks to Muffy and Dave along with Google, our efforts will eventually change the way Americans spell common words like "speach". Actually all words will have multiple spellings. Think how easy it will be for school children in the future. They can choose whichever way they like. Liberation, that's what I'm talking about.
Always someone says that. Do you use that when you are rappelling too? No question, you can't beat the rope as a tie-in. It's adustable even! At some point you'll likely need an independent anchor, be it a sling or whatever.
I think the quote is "it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt", which may be attributable to Mark Twain (or not).
