  1. Note the Bern Brentwood helmet does not carry CE or UIAA certification.
  2. I could put you in touch with the sprayer formerly known as trask.
  3. Quitting cc.com is easy, I've done it a thousand times. (to paraphrase Mark Twain)
  4. Good question, Ben. Probably Oly figures that nearly every climbing party has either an eric or a matt in it. If you forget someone's name I just throw out one or the other and part of the time you'll be right.
  5. I considered the possiblilty that the whole thing might have been staged, and I decided that it didn't matter whether it was real or staged. It was sick whichever way you chose to look at it.
  6. Don't ever rag on the dude for being politically correct.
  7. There is a route down there called Clipping the Cornea, 5.7. Something must have come off of that one or else it was never rated right in the first place. It's hard for 5.7.
  8. Current Road Condtions from the USFS Mount Baker District Site . No mention of road 2060, the Clear Creek Road. I'd be surprised if there wasn't some damage. Anyone been up there?
  9. And we wouldn't get to see Raindawg's midgets, either:
  10. Damn, that made me sick to watch that. Damn.
  11. I like the link in the Photo Gallery "Back to CC.com forums". That's great.
  12. I Remember Drooling, 5.10b, Amazonia Wall, Exit 38. If you don't know about the heel hook move, it's harder.

    Quince

It's not my fault. I growed up in Quincy. Quince your bitching!
  15. Some may find it ironic, but both Germany and Japan are doing a better job representing democracy and peaceful diplomacy these days than is the US.
  16. It was just my way of saying that we should all appreciate what a fine job Jon and Timmy have done here.

    WAT UP?

Read the comments below. Talk about sour grapes! Just because THEY didn't think of it!
  18. Stay well-hydrated.
  19. Take a look. It sucks. You can no longer embed images in the threads, "for performance reasons". Can you imagine cc.com without embedded images?

    Quince

    Well, it certainly wasn't dense.
  21. Wow, it appears that the skinnier the sling materal is, the greater the percent reduction in strength from girth hitching AND, the two alternate methods, the strop hitch and climer's (or climber's) hitch don't improve matters much.

    Quince

The fruiting quince tend to be more bush-like. The Smyrna is an attractive and relatively compact tree, but sometimes spring rain causes mildew on the leaves unless you spray. Cook's Jumbo is not really very attractive and I couldn't recommend it in the city.

    Quince

What do you do on a rainy day when you have two bushels of quince? You make quince jelly, of course. Not many even know what a quince looks like. Stores rarely sell them. The main reason for this is that they bruise easily in transit and they must be cooked before eating. Quince: Sweetmeat to Kings Quince makes a great dessert baked in the oven with some sugar on top. Just peel, core and quarter. If anyone wants some quince, I could bring some to Pub Club on Tuesday.
