    "Who's With Me?"

    I didn't like him as a republican, I still don't like him as a democrat. I'm bi-partisan that way.
  4. Yes! I would think that if the last group who were doing the adult supervision thing for blanco had mentioned it online, as painful as that may have been, you would have been spared. Furthermore, dudes like that can easily get you killed in addition to themselves. This guy needs to hear the honest appraisal of his abilities as well as warning his future victims partners. THEN you should relax, drink some more wine, and find more senoritas once your work is over.... THEN you should post a Trip report over here and use folks real names so we are all clued in! Anyway, that's the sequence as I see it, whatever you chose to do, make yourself happy. Hope you had a good trip otherwise.

    Obama's Problem

Maybe he needs to go on a leisurely boat ride? It works for the other presidents. That's not JFK though.
  6. Eliminate it all together and if someone screws the pooch, let private enterprise operate to fish them out, if volunteers and friends can't do it, then THEY can PAY for a helicopter, if they choose -having made arrangements, just like you would in Europe, beforehand. I'm not joking. Let FREEDOM RING!!!!!!!!
  7. Then you have known someone else who has freesoloed a 5.12 6,000 foot wall expecting that a parachute will work if they peel off Allen?
  8. I already posted this. Last month, Jim Opdycke in green helmet belaying me on the route Jim named "Child Abuse". LOL! My youngest, son Shaun, home from college on Thanksgiving vacation took this pic. Here's Shaun in orange, Jim took this picture. Blackberry bushes. Yeck! Good times!
  9. It was all good again this year. All I got was underwear though. Nothing else. OK- except for one other, my mom stepped up and gave me a card that had a check in it for $125.00. It was inscribed: "this is for a Pig in a Poke, hope it's a pretty pig." However, the underware were all good as they were all new. All my relatives are healthy and also not in the poor house. I'm good with that, not a bad gift to have -I'm blessed. plus I have new underpants.

    Obama's Problem

While I wait for folks around here to wake up: the article seemed overly harsh, but so many of the points were spot on the money. Maybe what we need is a good war to pull his ratings up? Worked for Bush. Maybe we can do it on the cheap this time? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091225/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_yemen_al_qaida
  11. Huh? The Clinton admins response to Bin Laden was a poorly timed strike by Tomahawk missiles. That was it. I would wager you would notice the price difference of a full scale invasion if you were forced to pay for it out of YOUR pocket. I suspect that our children will notice this price differential. Clinton balanced the budget, and generally followed the state departments line of foreign policy which was designed to strengthen our country via the most bang for the buck. Bush 2 went crazy on some kind of insane spending spree and expensive militarism as jh notes above, not supported by many inside state, to say nothing of the rest of the world, spending policies which the current pres has seemingly tried to surpass. I don't get it.
  12. A Gold bangle and Sapphire earrings. She'll like that, but doesn't like the Christmas card this year.
  13. Great photos Bradley! I am torn looking at them. I see the fresh snow which has just covered the bodies of 2 fine young people who's families will be celebrating Christmas with only the memories of Christmas past with them. I see lots of good times....when conditions and runout were right, we use to get folks lined up on the far side of the obvious break and all jumping up and down together, we would break off the cornice. These things would never seem to just snap off the first try, but would gradually widen, as the jumpers waited in fear, excitement and anticipation for the break and terror filled joyride which we surely all knew was coming as inevitable as death and taxes. Bammm, down we'd go. If the snow was deep or the cornice was big and or the snow deep, a spotter or 2 would volunteer to watch the bodies so in theory, anyone unfortunate enough to get buried could be dug out. I would think that with avalanche beacons, this would be a less fearful task. The most dangerous part of this was that the cornice's are hard compressed snow which breaks into blocks. Riding a big hard block could in theory be problematical and roll over on top of you: crushing and killing ya...but it never happened. I suppose you have to pay attention and not jump on too deep of a cornice, and have some nice, soft, not too deep powdery snow to ride. Any other combination like deep slushy snow, or thick big cornice, could easily kill ya. Damn we were stupid. But fun loving:-)
  14. Congrats! Saw your bike. Which evolved from your trike:

  21. LOL!!!! But aren't ya suppose to be on the top part when you encounter one of those sideways monsters? I'll defer to your experience in these matters of course...jus' wondering. ________________________________________________________ Arrrgghhhh! Bet they're unclimbed too....
  22. Hear that. Big respect for you Dane, but I want to choose to be able to carry one or not. I also do not believe that the public should pay for rescues of idiots like myself and I'm in the minority there as well. Once you ask the goverment to pay to come save yer ass, then they should be able to tell you when, where - perhaps even why, you can climb. ...and I'm again' that. and as a side note to my brothers here: since I have 2 posts on the front page of this very important and soon to be lengthy heated discourse: I am willing to sell one of these spots so that you can get your most important point in front of everyone who will be perusing these thread .....if anyone is interested.
  23. You got 2 of em? Well, at least your pants won't keep falling down around your ankles anymore.....Crap, my quivers about empty. ...wait, bet you don't have this: this (LAYTON, GET A BIGGER COVER PICTURE, SEND SOME TO CHESSLERS): or this: ha ha, lick my WHAT? BRING IT BEYOTCH!!!!
  24. You heard me: right here on Misty Murphys page, towards the bottom of the page underneath Mistys"Is 8a.nu worth a shit.....or is it complete fucking garbage????" examination. http://www.mistymurphy.blogspot.com/ LOL! You get the idea, you can blow them up as well to be full screen - I though I'd just start it in spray as Raindawg and Pope will be showing up in no time decrying it as they don't seem to like women or bolts.
  25. One more reason not to buy that Piece of S*it. For myself, I don't want more regulations and rules, have too many as it is.
