Having climbed as a "client" for a friend who was training for his ACMG cert, I have this option to offer. Lead with two 10mm ropes. Use one as your belayed rope, clip other in to protect client where neccesary. Carry 2! Gri-Gri! Easy to lower 2nd, if neccesary, and helps prevent elbow tendonitis from pulling so much rope through plaquette or such rig. I kid you not, this is how some of them do it!

I gave up buying climbing mags a long time ago. Too much spray, which I can get for free right here. Bored of the same pictures in the gallery section all the time. Outside mag occasionaly has some good articles, but they aren't a climbin' rag. They have the best photo section of any outdoor mag though! Tommy Caldwell wrapped in the US flag almost made me puke! Thanks R&I. I would say the same if it was Croft wrapped in the Maple Leaf.

What do you want them for? I wear my Chaco sandals for almost anything. Easy to clip in, but a bit heavy. Or just a pair of low cut shoes like E3 Luckies. <$100 CDN. If it's too technical for those, then I put my rock shoes on. Scrambling routes and "low 5th" gets my Trango Plus boots.
