  1. I'm looking to take the girl and some friends up to do some XC. I've never XC'd before (skin yes), so something easy wolud be ideal. But i'd trade some frustration for awesome views. Ideally a ski-in out cabin with a hot tub within 3 hours of seattle. A general area is fine if that's all you got. Everyone says Meathow Valley, but it's a bit far (I'll be leaving friday night, returning sunday afternoon/evening). Leavenworth a close 2nd?
  2. or go hit olympus for another glacier climb through beautiful rain forest.
  3. Funny. i get the impression he's thinking ABOUT the box, not outside it.
  4. I was going to buy this girl I'm dating a harness (I'm such a romantic!) but I have no idea what her waist size is (and I'm not going to ask). She's 5`7 and pretty thin. Can one of you girls speak up and help me out? The sizes are Sizing information: waist sizes: 4 (XXS) = 23-25", 6 (XS) = 24-26", 8 (S) = 25-27", 10 (M) = 26-28", 12 (L) = 27-29" I was going to buy the BD Calypso Thanks

  9. I'm wating for the snow to fall.... I know that it will save us all.... up to baker tonight.
  10. ask a barista, unless you're at starbucks where they don't know what computers are. i had one tell me that i had to already have an account to use the service and i'd have to set it up on the web before coming in. He was basically telling me i'd need to use the web to get to it.
  11. kayak guys was a tool. Or you might say he was really clever. I'd say nice things about Buick to get a bunch of gear. WTF do i care about integrity?
  12. One of my customers just got done setting up a download store with a bunch of near DVD quality (700k) videos. They are pretty cheap at like 2-5 bucks a download and they are offering 2-1 right now. The site could use some design help, but you should check it out anyway. TotalVid
  13. I think Buick really embodies the American spirit.... Thanks again Gary! Pax made it as well and we made some friends at the U (though sadly none of them invited us to climb there )
  14. and seem rather contradictory. there's nothing cool about a guy in Dockers. Anyway, i'm in.. who else is going? i plan on showing up at around 6:15-6:30 and can only stay until about 8
  15. i'm in. was trynig to find a way to kill some time before my dinner at 8 anyway and the idea of working until 7:45 wasn't sitting well.
  16. Nice. Too bad you were on skis
  17. Right outside my door. Who's in? Beers and food at the 5 spot afterwards
  18. hard boot bindings? No. the bindings were Rossignol. Had i done it over again I would've used by own Nitro bindings as they are better. I think a lot of my frustration was self-inflicted. One time the binding covored the pin. it took me 5-10 minutes to work it off. The borad also seemed to have 0 edges a skis. Taking the cat track back to the lodge was pretty hairy and i'm a pretty good skier.

  20. Spent the day at Baker with a few inches of fresh. The next day we skinned up Table Mountain and Hermen(?) and got in a couple of runs on the rented split board. The first run was the best of my life and I'm not hooked on the split board. The next day Baker got 8" of fresh and we lifted it from 9 - 3 hitting stash upon stash of fresh. I LOVE THAT MOUNTAIN.
  21. I used a Voile for the first time this last Friday up at Table Mountain. It might have been old but I thought the bindings were for suck. I'd really look at the Burton to see if they are any better. I usually ride a 162 NItro Team, but I rented a 175. In the softness of the day it was amazing. Best run of my life. I weigh 170.
  22. Don't you know it! I know i'm the wrong TIMMAH, but I'm headed up to Baker in 2 hours until Saturday. w00p! bye bye
  23. I love the ellipticals, especially the ones with the moving arms.

  25. Well, i have a trailer at baker so that's pretty much all i ever go to anymore. I went to crystal once and it looked like there were probably lots of places to go, but 1. the whole 6-person chair thing is off-putting and 2. I don't know anybody else that goes there.
