  1. incite?? insight?? hmmmmm... Are you trying to incite insightfullness? Someone should around here anyway....
  2. Hey Brian, I did this on a peak near Stevens Pass last winter and I'm wondering if this is the same peak Jamin is headed for.
  3. What kind of Slippery adventure are you heading for? Is it a Slab climb??
  4. Obviously you have not been around very long. If you read the "North Cascades Trivia" thread you would see some very wise posts by the likes of Harry Majors and Lowell Skoog. Both are very interesting and knowledgable in their historic descriptions of a variety of interesting topics. That's still one of my favorite threads to browse for FA possibilities. http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/218182/page/1#Post218182
  5. Craig, a few of us were out at Banks Lake and what not last Saturday. Top of Zenith, top of Salt n Pepper, and the DPB were in as well as a bit of unclimbed ice. Needs some time for others to get in fat and the warm temps over the weekend probably didn't help any. Hopefully the forecast for the next week is going to be accurate.
  6. Nice Pics jstreet! Can't wait to make the trip out there. Soon, baby, soon!!
  7. That's the rainy season up here.
  8. I thought Sean's last name was spelled with two S's.
  9. I just switched over to the icebreakers after using polypro for 10+ years. I have not used silk ever, but I think the merino wool base layers are the shit. The only drawback is that they don't do too well in a squeeze chimney, or in other words they are not quite as resistant to rippage as my old polypro was.
  10. Anyone else find it odd that he's on the latest Mountain Gear catalog's front cover? May he rest in peace
  11. Did something happen on Mt. Hood that required speculation? Did I miss something?
  12. I still prefer the Wolfgang's drop D knob over a low B string anyday.
  13. Who's both climbed and hucked that
  14. 7 string?? Do you know any Dream Theatre songs?
  15. Oh, and do post a pic.
  16. The double neck was first made in 1958. http://www.kellyindustries.com/guitars/gibson_sg_double_neck.html
  17. Anyone wanna take my shift this week? Next week, maybe?
  18. I recently stayed with a guy in Squamish that spent two months there climbing GII and he said that there were no problems whatsoever. He had photos of a Bush protest in Islamabad where there was a woping 50-100 people (read: very small). The people there are extremely gracious to any foreigners, given that they are the main means of income for the locals. Of course, they were Canadian though. I would pack the American flag deep in my rucksack and only get it out on summit day.
  19. I have a video camera. Just think, if it doesn't work, you could always submit the video to the Darwin Awards.
  20. I would prefer the tobacco burst, but couldn't find a pic of that. I think a late 50's model is around $10000-$15000. Anyone want to trade me for my POS car?
  21. Do I need to bring my own bowl??
  22. Nice pics Sounds like a good outing and some great times
  23. Man, I still didn't get the double-neck I have on my list every year. At least you are half way there.
  24. Sky, I am in desparate need of a haircut. C'ya on the slopes
  25. I've been impressed with the X-Monsters. These are the more moderate "little brother" of the Monsters. They swing great into the ice and can hook through icicles with it's flat shaft. They are also really great for dry-tool'n and mixed stuff. I haven't used the BD ergo style tools yet, but compared to the Quark ergo's I'd have to say they have them beat.
