I'll post some more pics when I get home. This totally blows my mind. Both these individuals were great climbers as well as great people. I haven't met Mizuki, but from others who have climbed with her I've heard nothing but how much of a love of life she had. I did 8 out of the 21 days of ice climbing this past winter with Brian and have great memories of joking with him and shooting the shit. I'm going to start a tribute on my website to Brian. WOW!!!!
I usually sew the suckers back together, then place a piece of electrical tape on the backside of the rip smothered in seam grip. Also, I buy cheap hardshell pants and usually switch them out after about 10 rips and repairs. I go through them like sliced bread.
You aren't actually advocating steroids use, are you? Being a heterosexual male, I find the look of these pumped up guys rather disgusting. What can they really do with all that muscle?? Isn't part of being 'in-shape' suppose to include flexibility? I doubt that many of these guys are as flexible as say a marathon runner. Now there's some buff dudes. That coming from a heterosexual male, of course
Especially the hosers who took those anchors.
Sure, threats and violence only escalate any situation, but words are far different from actions. I bet a lawyer would love to stand in front of a judge and argue that the removal of the anchors, given their history and the popularity of said route, equates to vandalism and borders attempted murder. Would this same person remove a stop sign at a busy corner and wait with his video camera for the ensuing collision?
Suuuure, blame it on school.
And if not, you'll find a girl, quit climbing, pop out some kids, and read cc.com from work thinking of all that time you wasted while in school, like the rest of us.
Wow Alex. I sensed some angst.
