So, the next question of course would be the best (or should I rephrase, the most trusted) place to have these installed. I'm too much of a choad to have enough confidence in myself not to fuck it all up. Plus, can't I sue a store if they screw them up? Not that I ever would, but it's amazing the amount of respect one gets when they whip out their lawyer's card.

It would be lame if I didn't show up, but you better believe I'll be there. Ought to be a good time, even if it is a little dark.

So, is this a do-it yourself job or not? Anyone with any personal experience?

...I wondered what the hell a "Snipe" was?

Starlings' droppings plague downtown motorists See I'm not fucking crazy after all. They scare the crap out of me when they swoop at the windows in my office. There are more than just two hundred too.

I'll use this opportunity to add a shameless plug and link to my personal website. http://www.weekendclimber.com -
I'm not so sure I would trust someone from Oregon to tell me that beer is good for me. On the otherhand, beer tastes good, so it has to be good for you right?

#5 stopper. Saved my ass, literally, several times. I got rid of one that had a knarly gash almost half way through the middle of it after falling 20 feet upside down on New Testament at Smith.

That's funny. I thought cobra commander only fancied GI-Joe and not He-Man. Aren't those both Hanna-Barbara cartoons?

Hey, how did you get images of my dental work? That is against HIPPA you know. My lawyer will be contacting you to broker a multi-million dollar plea deal, but I'll take a rack of cams instead. Fork 'em over.

I've been told by someone on the board that there may be a closer place available soon. I have not been to Exit 16 and seen the road cut you talk about, but anything that's good for a few laps with about 2-5 people around would be cool. Care to come out on Thursday AlpineDave.

So, one of Bush's advisors comes into the oval office with a long, sad face. He says, "Mr President, today in Iraq there was another ambush and 10 Brazillian troops were killed by a rocket propelled grenade. It is a disaster." Having just received this terrible news, George W. paces back and forth with a very concerned look on his face. Searching for words, Georgie turns to his aid and says, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "How many is a Brazillian?"

Anyone know of anything closer than Exit 38? I'm game for pain, so any suggestions would be much appreciated, otherwise there will be a little driving involved.

That's cool, I have a couple of tools that are probably not the best for dry tooling. You are welcome to use them if you give me a belay.

Been thinking about doing this at the Exit 38 dry tool area on Thursday night this week and, weather permitting, every week until some real ice forms up the road a little ways. So far, user000056 and I are going to be attending, anyone else interested? Don't let those PDX drytooler top us Seattle folks.

in search of waterproof gloves

One piece of advice I would give with the overglove/overmitt crowd to make your hand stay absolutely dry, make sure that you do not put your gauntlets on over you jacket, but your jacket over you gauntlets. Yes, it makes taking them on and off more difficult, so if you are ice climbing this may not be possible. If you do not need to take them on or off frequently, put your gloves on first and then your jacket so the arms of the jacket cover the extended glove gauntlet. It's rather simple if you think about it, if you put your gloves on over you jacket when your arms hang down (natural position) then the water streaking down the jacket will seep right into your gloves. No strap, no matter how tight can prevent this seepage. -
Damn dude that sucks, I spent all day working on my shower at home recaulking and putting it back together. West Seattle Pub Club soon? Going to Chad Kellog on Wednesday, maybe hit Legends or some other dive afterwards?

I've solo'd a few routes and usually just pack a rope for a rappel down and free solo the rest. This leaves you to climbing only the things you know are a grade or two lower that what you are capable of. Be careful out there dude.

Man, these are really old scams. I wonder how many people are getting hosed on these nowadays.
