  1. And well below freezing baby!
  2. Dear Santa....Don't bother coming this year cause I already got everything I want.
  3. Alki sound good to me.
  4. I'm going to have to make the same excuse for not being there tonight, work is going to require a full day today. I'm going to try to make the Avalanche lecture at FF tonight though, but can't get out to climb. Should not be a problem next week though, and I'm going to try to get some this weekend. Sorry Alex:(
  5. Check out North Bend Rock and they have a great route list (under best routes) with grades where you can start low and work your way up the confidence level. Cheers
  6. There's many routes that would probably be in any time of the year. I have not climbed much harder than 5.6 stuff on that thing and having crampons and ice tools would make it even more fun.
  7. Pub club sounds good to me. By the way, I think St. Helens is pretty much closed to the public right now.
  8. @P=split//,".URRUU\c8R";@d=split//,"\nredreh peehs rehtona tsuJ";sub p{ @p{"r$p","u$p"}=(P,P);pipe"r$p","u$p";++$p;($q*=2)+=$f=!fork;map{$P=$P[$f^ord ($p{$_})&6];$p{$_}=/ ^$P/ix?$P:close$_}keys%p}p;p;p;p;p;map{$p{$_}=~/^[P.]/&& close$_}%p;wait until$?;map{/^r/&&<$_>}%p;$_=$d[$q];sleep rand(2)if/\S/;print
  9. It is rather deep, so floatation devices and some suffering are definately required.
  10. I work with a lady who has an Indian (the country) ancestry and she pulls down pretty hard. I had a conversation with a black friend of mine about rock climbing a few years back and this is what he said, and I quote "For most black people, going into the woods far from any civilization with a bunch of white folks with ropes just does not sound too appealing to most black people."
  11. I was in and around the Kendall Peak area on Sunday and the snow was nice and powdery near the 5000 foot mark. If you have ski's or snowshoes it would probably be worth the trip to Chair, or the Tooth for some nice winter like conditions.
  12. Sorry I haven't been able to make it out yet. I still need skins (should have pretty soon) and will be getting some demo boots for this season to figure out what I want. Once I get skins, it'll be on. Keep in touch. P.S.: Let me know if you want to have a few beers sometime again.
  13. I'm hoping for a dozen pink tri-cams, because my brown ones are lonely.
  14. I'm always into doing stuff just for the hell of it. What doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. PM me if you want to get out sometime. I live in Seattle, but whatever.

    PWNED

Now I am a complete computer geek. Thanks for making up for that last little bit for me.
  16. Feet and Feet of pow! Might wanna take snowshoes. North face is probably a bit buried right now.
  17. I would say if you don't mind some powder wallowing, it will probably be in. Even with snowshoes this weekend we were still about hip deep when we walked off the beaten track.
  18. There is ice to be had in the alpental valley. I didn't take any pictures yesterday, but it has been cold enough and there are many drips that are looking pretty fat. This is December, right?
  19. That sounds great. Is this the line we looked at on Thursday before we left? Or, is it over in the wet streak? Looking forward to checking it out on Thursday.
  20. Props to Dave, I'm glad to here everyone is still breathing.
  21. Here's the graph of the NWAC Data for the last two weeks at 3700 feet at the Lake Keechelus Snow Shed (the red line is the freezing mark). The second image is the data from the last week at 5800 feet at Alpental. That station just came online on the 27th after being out for a while. Lake Keechelus 3700': 5800' Alpental: Check out WeekendClimber Forecasts and go to Select a Station at near the bottom for all their station's data in a graph for up to the last 3 months. It's been getting cold out there and a lot of area ought to be freezing up if this trend keeps holding for another week.
  22. I'm heading up there a little farther tomorrow on snowshoe. I'll let the word out on what I see.
  23. Shit, I thought I was lost the last time I went to Washington Pass. I guess I was more lost than I really knew.
  24. I don't think anyone will knock you for attending World Aids Day unless they are a Bush party affiliate. Oops, that belongs in spray. Anyway, it was another good night of climbing with the added effect of snow. It almost felt as if we were in the mountains, almost... Next week, same bat time, same bat channel. Bring on the spray!
