I guess that will cancel my plans NOT to go out and get some this weekend. Damn, it sure is getting expensive to rent boots!!

Err...I was planning on attending the Gary Brill Avalanche lecture at REI at 7pm on Wednesday this week. It would work for me if we skipped this week and did it on Wednesday next week the 18th of January. I try to make Mondays a rest day for me (I gotta recover from all the working out, skiing, and DT'ing I've been getting in).

Does it count if my brother's name is Matt??

Had a buddy drive up there over the past weekend and he told me pretty much everything has fallen down with the latest weather trend we've been having. You could always just go to hang out at Gustav's though!! Or the Hiedelburger [sic?] to eat some !!

Just bring a harness/tools/poons/helmet (definately helmet!!!) and I've got rope as well as at least one other. If you are unsure of where we meet at, check a few pages back (page 2, mid-page). The main group will be meeting at 5:00-5:15pm tonight Thursday, December 29th 2005. See you guys there!!

Ohhhhhhh.... Alpine Porn, makes me wanna pork something!!

I'm probably going to be heading up in the area over the weekend and will post information on what I see. Good news is that it has been consistentantly below freezing since early Christmas morning with the temps not rising above 31 degrees in the past few days. Now, of course this if from the 5400' station on the top of Alpental. It has been hovering right around freezing since monday evening lower down, so I'm sure things have been melting out.

That sounds good to me. I've got a little bit of work to catch up on but should be able to head out in time to meet up at that time. If anyone else is interested, make sure to post a reply so that we know. Otherwise Selkirk, we can just meet up at the crag parking lot around that time. We'll see who else wants to come.

This would be my first concern as well, but maybe John has already taken care of this by paying off the local government officials??
