It's definitely not going to survive repeated beatings, that's for sure, but mine has served me well for two seasons now, and doesn't show any signs of wear. I was willing to live with a decrease in long term life for a gain in weight savings. I think that with the proper care, however, this bag will serve me for quite a while. Interestingly enough, the lightweight fabric seems to be as downproof as other bags I have made of much heavier fabric.

Fairweather, you're fully of crap. His opinion matters just as much as the next guy. I'll save everybody the "this country was built by immigrants" crap, but I'd much rather hear the opinion of a non-citizen who stops to think than the tired diareaha you right wing idiots spew out. BTW, to answer your question and stir the pot some more, the 2nd amendment is a load of shit. It was designed in a time where this country was supported and defended by a militia. That isn't the case these days and gun owners hiding behind the 2nd amendment are taking the easy way out. Why don't you try thinking for once then come up with a valid reason why this country needs 260 million small arms.

"The country with the second-highest gun ownership is Yemen, with between 33 and 50 firearms per 100 people" Clearly great company to be in...

For a summer bag, check out the western mountaineering highlight. It weighs 16oz and I have found it warm enough for anything I have thrown at it around here in the summer. It compresses down to nothing and weighs so little you don't know it's there.

Jeez, they look to be built with the finest in 1970s ski boot technology too.

Look, I'll state one last time, it is *not* unreasonable for me to request blow jobs at belays! I made it simple...I teach, you blow! Good luck finding a new partner... Have some respect for the girl, asshole. BWAHHAHAHA...oh man, I just lost it. Respect, from greg, the perfect gentleman. I forgot, no joking, spraying, insulting or any horseplay on cc.com.

linking? huh? Not sure how it would be "linking" anything, but rather just climbing up one and then descending and climbing the other. I missing sumpin'?
-
Wrong, fucko, I've been there. Worry about how you would react and I'll ponder how I will. Don't concern yourself with what I will or won't do; it's none of your business. UH GREG, YOU HAVE JUST SPENT THE LAST TWO PAGES TELLNG US YOUR BUSINESS AND HOW YOU WOULD KILL/BEAT THEM..SO THERE FOR YOU HAVE ALLOWED US IN YOUR BUSINESS. Exactly. Yet more tough speak from Greg the tough guy and his tough guy posse. So, Greg, fine, let's say you know *exactly* how you'd act. Being the tough guy you are, you would start throwing punches, stabbing knives, shooting guns, whatever. Are you telling me you can predict exactly how the 20 other guys will react? Can you guarantee one of them won't shoot/knife you? Your argument that not fighting means you have no value for your life is, like most of your arguments, simplistict and wrong.

I can think of two ways. One involves death but the other is starting to tempt me. Hookers?

You sure seem to know a lot about growing up in the ghetto for a young white upper middle class kid.

so just let them do it to someone else? the French tried that... it didn't work too well did it? What?! Your reading comprehension is obviously lacking. there is a big difference between withdrawing from the current situation and notifying the proper people, etc. (which, unfortunately, seems to have failed in this case) and "sticking up" for yourself and getting beat to shit or killed just so you can prove you won't take it. Also, those of us with brains realize that simply coming back after the fact and shooting some people is only going to result in you getting ass raped for 10-to-life. My point, boiled down, is I laugh at the tough guy attitudes you guys show off on the internet. I'd like to see what you would have *actually* done had you been surround by 20 angry drunks, and if you had decided going tough guy was the way to go, I'd like to see where it would have got you.
-
Hahah...yeah, right, I'm sure those people are really *happy* with being on welfare. It's a kick ass life style after all! Jeezus...wake up.

There is a difference between defending yourself when you are in the situation and simlpy spouting off like an idiot about it on an internet message board. I'm glad all you tough guys think it's cool to gloat about what you'd do with those punks, or how you'd run them over with your small penis truck, or how you'd shove your gun up their asses. In reality, you have no fucking clue how you'd act if the situation actually got out of control and you were surrounded by 20 drunk morons. Maybe you'd fight 1 or 2 and the rest would give up and take off. Maybe you'd fight them and they'd feed off each other and gang beat you to death. Maybe you'd whip out your "i'm a big man" gun and shoot one, only to find yourself on trial 6 months later. I'm all about standing up for myself and putting people in line if need be, but it isn't always the best way to deal with a situation. Sometimes you are better off laying low and letting the situation blow over. I care about my life enough that if I'm better off backing down, I will. Greg et al, when you blow this simpleton attitude out your ass about fighting back and showing those punks a lesson, you aren't showing the value you have for your life, you are showing that you'll do whatever nescessary to save face and look like a tough guy.

It is sweet to see these guys skiing all of these cool lines, being locals and all. Personally, I would never torture myself with hauling skis through some of those bushwhacks, but I admire the gumption they have to do it.
-
And please note it's extra extra manly to threaten retaliation with a gun. Everybody knows that real men bring guns to fist fights!
-
...and that's clearly the important point of discussion here...

No doubt, man. When they say "lifetime guarantee" or 100% satisfaction guaranteed they better damn well mean it. Most people might not take advantage of it, which is why the offer it, but I plan on it. If somebody is going to tell me it's guarnateed for life, well, shit, it's going back as soon as I've worn it out.

I figure it's the only reason to buy shit there. It's not like they have good prices or helpful advice.

LOL. I know, it's a fucking weakness. There needs to be a support group for it or something. I've been in to gadgets and crap since I was a little kid. The only thing that has changed is the gadgets have gotten pricier. and, truth be told, I've been known to return a thing or two as well. I figure if something new comes out than the old thing no longer meets my high expectations.

Yeah, I saw this new Tikka Plus, This thing is cool. They addressed everything that sucked about the normal Tikka, which was no tilt and no multiple light settings. With the one extra LED I think they have one-upped p.tec. I still think the recessed switch argument is bogus, cause I've never seen the switch on the aurora get accidentally pushed, but whatever. Have you tried the switch? Is it reasonably operated? The one on the originally tikkas really sucked, IMHO, as it was very hard to operate. And, agreed, the new Myos rule. I have the Myo 5 and it's the leading full featured headlamp in my opinion.

No maintenance = nasty hippie chicks, which I would argue are definitely *not* all good.

Who cares. The greeks know more about olives anyway.

Shit, I went to the mall today. It really does suck. Now target on the other hand, wow, it was a MILF festival there today.

Right... And those Japanese responsible were prosecuted as war criminals. If the cause of death of some detainees are proven to be homicide then I hope those responsible will be similarly brought to account. "In March, Amnesty wrote to President Bush to complain about the treatment of detainees after US military officials reportedly confirmed that post-mortem reports in the cases of the two men who died at Bagram gave cause of death as 'homicide' and 'blunt force injuries'. " No. If there had POW status this wouldn't be a problem, as they would have some legal status, rights and recourse, but they don't. The classification of "enemy noncombatant" has no legal standing, largely because it was invented after 9/11 and is not recognised internationally. Well said, ade. It's also worth pointing out that plenty of "Japs" were also held illegal by this country during WWII. It cuts both ways.
