metolius stuff is basically diesel work trucks...they don't break, are bomber when used properly and fit pretty damn well in a variety of places...sure, an alien will fit better in some flares/scars, etc. but all in all, i will carry metolius over everything else first in the small sizes... i have cams that i've wailed on with big falls and short hard falls that have been on my rack since the late 80's/early 90's (back when the cams were smooth faced) and all i've done is wash 'em once a decade and gotten new slings on them... they are BOMBER...

no dude...that's just wrong...sorry, i don't need to experience something necessarily to make a judgement call...PARTICULARLY if they've been bouldered or led before on available gear... Point is, its crap like this and exit38, newhalem, etc. that is causing such a negative reaction to sportclimbing... PS: Dwayner's still a dork though...

its not too bad...you can really fish in a lot of small gear before launching into the crux...i think i pushed it with my feet about 4 feet above a grey tcu and small nut nest. Keep going until you get the jug jam and you are done...you could probably get a slider or something small mid crux, but its more trouble than its worth...
