  1. is that a shot from mutual of omaha's wild kingdom
  2. actually if you are rich you should get etymotics. they even have a cheaper version specifically for the iPodders
  3. I have the bumblebee T-1 from a few years back. They are beasts and weigh a ton (I use the old liners). A friend of mine switched to the new 3-buckle T-2 from his old T-1 and said he could not tell much of a difference. Yes, touring will be a bitch, but a lot of very long, very hard trips have been done in T-1 boots. That T-2x looks like a shortened T-1 to me. At least the buckles appear to be the same. It could be sweet. I think the T-1 looks cool, which is the number one priority (that, and I got 'em dirt cheap).

  9. i think michael jackson's nose is responsible.
  10. I'd rather eat a kentucky-fried butter stick wrapped in a donut.
  11. Which is odd, because it would fit nicely in the character and suffering section. I swear it's like eating a log of marzipan.
  12. You can re-eat your feces on an all-gu diet and get another dose of energy. It even tastes better, though it is still very sticky.

  14. That sounds like a good idea. I normally ski a 184 or so, and I have some approach skis with silvrettas at 167. This works quite well, esp. when skiing with climbing boots. I've enjoyed the Atomic TG:10 Superlight, mainly because it is often on sale for about $99 later in the season. Unfortunately you will have to play the Atomic naming two-step to figure out what ski it is this year.
  15. I'm sure women love to be chased through an urban park in the evening by some desperate dude.

  18. You might try on a pair of nepal extremes if sportivas fit you. They are like bedroom slippers compared to the Invernos, and they are fairly warm. Unfortunately, they are quite expensive.
  19. I like plastics for long, straightforward things, like going up 40-50° snow/ice all day. Plastics are a very nice, comfortable platform for this, and yes, they are warm. They are easier on your calves, and easier on your toes when you are kicking all day. They also ski better if that is a factor in the equation. I have found the Scarpa Inverno to do all these things quite well, and it has seen action around the globe for years now. I have hiked in long distances in them, and to be honest, I think they might hike better than the la sportiva leathers I have. I'm sure someone would be willing to sell you some, as plastic boots are not the trendy thing right now.
  20. what if you attach a handle to the hook, and hang on to that?
  21. And here. And here. And here.
  22. ~41 miles, with about 10k' of climbing.
  23. You have been scooped. I'm not sure what exact time of year these were taken, but I think 1985 was one of the snowiest autumns on record. It's in the top 5 for sure.
  24. oh no shit? thanks.
