    Lunch of the Day

    a) no wonder they outsourced production. b) no wonder they sell jackets for more than a car that runs.

  4. sorry about that double post of pointless post
  5. I hate carrying around the flammable hazardous waste warning placards on my pack too.
  6. Cordelettes must have low angles between the pieces and tied with a correctly-dressed double-fisherman's knot (aka the grapevine knot)... and, must be composed of 2,3 diphenylbenzopolymerate-polypropelene, though some related polymers are acceptable in a pinch. I carry a test vial to determine the chemical composition of any rap station in my alpine chemistry kit
  7. that was below the belt Alpinfox
  8. I can feel nauseous after eating halvah. Though that might be because I'm usually eating it late in a climb. It's flavor overload.
  9. ah, humor is often lost on the dumb My second entry: "Here's a little trick I learned in the scrambling 101 course"
  10. veggie, I would be destroyed in a scrabble contest, though I do have a geology degree gathering dust.
  11. I finally summited, though my elation was tempered by the multiple chimney rappels (possibly with the EDK, possibly not) with pack that awaited. I have not felt this much elation since last Friday's heated Scrabble fest. My fingers were sore from a marathon rock polishing party earlier, so I had difficulty grabbing my scrabble tiles efficiently. However, I was ultimately triumphant.
  12. pulled someone off Three-Fingered Jack in oregon who died of MI
  13. that's because there ain't NOTHING to do in green bay (besides pack things I guess)

  16. what is scrapple green bay is a horrid town. I had to play a soccer game agains UW there. In August. Ugh.
  17. And the Strawberries, supposed to be some fine ice in there, the approach is a nice ski...hmm, whoops.
  18. some adventure climbing on theilsen in winter? you just ski over to the....oh wait.
  19. too bad this weekend calls for 7K-8K freezing levels mwhaha
  20. What they should do is head into the sisters and check out some sweet lines on Middle and n. side of south, and a few choice examples on Broken Top. Oh but wait, you don't ski. What a pity. Hood is so played-out.
  21. How about red top mountain and those other little peaks down near odell lake? Nice area for the eugenites I might say. Maybe Fejas has some insight. I was only there once but it was fun exploring. There is also plenty of options out at Diamond Peak, though you may be familar with that already. Park Butte seems like an awful lot of approach work this time of year for what it is, though it sur looks to have some good lines on it. Would be fun to make a few days of it and ski some of Jefferson Park G. too.
  22. hope their warranty program has been ramped up
  23. "lobbying" would involve the purchase of kneepads
