  1. skykilo: go get sandy headwall fejas: I've no idea, I have not had a good look at it in winter. I was just blurting it out, stop making me think about details! Sounds like you have done some recon though.
  2. leaving in 5 minutes....just kidding. probably would be a good time right now though eh? Though I bet it slides, and getting to that couloir means traversing that death slope on the east side. Anyway, I hope to get in there soon. The start looks like the hardest part.
  3. correction: they stop you and ask you if you have any fruit. the answer is no, and you proceed on your way. I'm confident you could drive up to the checkpoint in a washington apple truck and they would let you through with that answer.
  4. -make confident jump turns when there is something at stake -tick off those climbs on the north side of south sister, finally -se couloir of tfj -wyeast ski, finally
  5. yeah i made the mistake of cruising down heather creek yesterday to see what it was like instead of taking heather chair back up. There are still a few spots open. In fact, a skier fell into the creek just below the chair at one crossing. yikes.
  6. I can hardly wait to have an on-the-spot beacon test by some volunteer patrol when I go ski there. Sounds like a fun place to ski!
  7. I think he's thinking of different burnables cj001f
  8. I've done it in France w/o ANY id, walked right off the dock into a car!
  9. They're all out climbing it right now go hit multnomah falls.
  10. I'm sure it will help but it is the equivalent of getting a barcode tattooed on your arm. For some reason I don't find that very appealing
  11. "have nothing to hide" is a fairly relative condition. you may well have something to hide if it suits the government in the future, even if you think you did nothing wrong at the time.
  12. Cmon there's that 10 ft. pitch at the bottom of the HR Meadows chair that rips it!! You guys are so X-treme I can hardly stay in my seat. Please autograph my one-piece before I lose all control have you skied god's wall area at meadows? looks steep from the bottom though I don't like the ravine/creek runout.
  13. seems like the best thing to carry at that point would be a signal flare and a checkbook!
  14. I wonder how bad off his toes and fingers were. Would be interesting to hear what his game plan was to be traveling for that long, like where he was hoping to end up, or was he just wandering hoping to get lucky? Is that area somewhere you can hear traffic at times? Just wondering. Should be a good story.
  15. he must have been eating a lot of snow or something, the dehydration alone would be brutal

    Crikey!

are they comparing Jackson to Irwin or the crocodile?
  17. well hell, if it's not me or my family I don't know why I'm worrying about this. scan away!
  18. sweet I can hardly wait to get that tracking chip installed in my neck, so convenient when I get lost in the woods.
  19. I think this fingerprint b.s. is over the line fingerprint b.s.
  20. why not just don scuba gear and drive the mog along the river bottom. just attach a longer snorkel to the airbox.
  21. also known as the "ski patrol #1 customer" trend. rando racing in Denalis...sounds like a blast!
  22. Because I am so x-treme I managed to crack the tongue of my Denali xt's in half on a bumpy run today. Where do I get a new one or is it time to give BD a call. I guess it was cold or something. I have seen Lou Dawson's Franken-Laser Mod but I don't know where to get boot tongues.
  23. -20C means nothing to americans dru, we measure stuff with sticks, various body parts, football fields, and stuff.
  24. yeah I have never seen a bigger cattle call when they dropped the lines at the access points to heather canyon, which has only been open from memorial down all week. I headed immediately to the woods and stayed there all day. enough snow in there to make it scary if you go in by yourself.
