    Skiing at Work?

I just jibbed off the bus stop bench and scared the crap outta the old bag that's always waiting for the #9. just kidding
  2. get back to work on your f'ing tps report
  3. w/o skins I don't think having a detached heel is really going to buy you much in the way of movement in that snow. You can shimmy around, but that's not in powder. I have no idea if he had skins or not, or what skis he had.
  4. stupid office people. Other day a guy at work said about a client: "well it's in their ballcourt now". WTF does that mean? Same guy: "man that's way off in left park"

    Gold Prices

I was thinking of arsenic in the classic apocathery poison sense, as in Flaubert's Madame Bovary where she tries to kill herself with arsenic to end the perceived pain of her existance and ironically ends up dying in a horrible and painful way. or something like that.
  7. in terms of "safe" snow pnw has some of the most predictable around

    Gold Prices

has it come to this, a discussion about fluctuating gold prices? I plan to start a thread on the current status of my toilet paper roll. Right now there are at least 10 sheets left, perhaps enough for 3 more sessions. I'll have an update in 10 minutes.
  12. skykilo: go get sandy headwall fejas: I've no idea, I have not had a good look at it in winter. I was just blurting it out, stop making me think about details! Sounds like you have done some recon though.
  13. leaving in 5 minutes....just kidding. probably would be a good time right now though eh? Though I bet it slides, and getting to that couloir means traversing that death slope on the east side. Anyway, I hope to get in there soon. The start looks like the hardest part.
  14. correction: they stop you and ask you if you have any fruit. the answer is no, and you proceed on your way. I'm confident you could drive up to the checkpoint in a washington apple truck and they would let you through with that answer.
  15. -make confident jump turns when there is something at stake -tick off those climbs on the north side of south sister, finally -se couloir of tfj -wyeast ski, finally
  16. yeah i made the mistake of cruising down heather creek yesterday to see what it was like instead of taking heather chair back up. There are still a few spots open. In fact, a skier fell into the creek just below the chair at one crossing. yikes.
  17. I can hardly wait to have an on-the-spot beacon test by some volunteer patrol when I go ski there. Sounds like a fun place to ski!
  18. I think he's thinking of different burnables cj001f
  19. I've done it in France w/o ANY id, walked right off the dock into a car!
  20. They're all out climbing it right now go hit multnomah falls.
  21. I'm sure it will help but it is the equivalent of getting a barcode tattooed on your arm. For some reason I don't find that very appealing
  22. "have nothing to hide" is a fairly relative condition. you may well have something to hide if it suits the government in the future, even if you think you did nothing wrong at the time.
  23. Cmon there's that 10 ft. pitch at the bottom of the HR Meadows chair that rips it!! You guys are so X-treme I can hardly stay in my seat. Please autograph my one-piece before I lose all control have you skied god's wall area at meadows? looks steep from the bottom though I don't like the ravine/creek runout.
  24. seems like the best thing to carry at that point would be a signal flare and a checkbook!
  25. I wonder how bad off his toes and fingers were. Would be interesting to hear what his game plan was to be traveling for that long, like where he was hoping to end up, or was he just wandering hoping to get lucky? Is that area somewhere you can hear traffic at times? Just wondering. Should be a good story.
