No, no, you don't understand. The last election gave them a mandate to fuck shit up.

I just had email from Frank Sanders regarding the urgent need for climbers to have input on the Devils Tower Long Range Interpretive Plan. I've copied Frank's message below:

Yes, that's Middendorf.

Yeah, I guess Prince Chunk was only the heir, question is, who is the king?
-
My sister, a rape victim, has dealt with scum like you before. Odds are good she'd gut you like a fish.
-
The prince is dead?
-
We can only dream. You dream of being a rapist?

Yah, if those eastern grays show up on my property I'm getting a wrist rocket and a big bag of large ball bearings. There's a healthy population of Douglas Squirrels around here.

Yes, guilty until proven innocent, you'll go far Herr Nitrox.

Then what does that say about all the congressmen arrested for fraud, bribery, and sexual misbehavior?

Don't forget the medical cartel that funds his family! Indeed. Every single person who works in the health-care industry in any capacity should raise a glass to last year's health care bill for abolishing any hope of introducing price transparency or competition into that sector. I just think those people are overpaid for the contributions they make to society, and it's time to re-examine their union protected salary and pension benefits, and slash those slacker's compensation down to convenience store clerk standards. Then health care will be affordable (though the care perhaps less effective).

Does your guide erect your pup tent for you? That's service!

So, you're saying Larry eats too much fat and fiber?

Well, sure, we'll trash the mortgage interest deduction too. That'll hurt me too, but there you have it. A sales tax based system is stupid stupid stupid, Canadians not withstanding. The wealthy reap a huge benefit from living and investing in a country that provides the stability of law and order that the US provides. They shouldn't they pay for that privilege? They already own the government and receive the highest protection, shouldn't they pay for that privilege? Given that, there's no way out of the current pit that can be bought with the unnoticeable suffering of the way too wealthy, we're all gonna pay for our inattention to what government does. Personally, I think all those yahoos with the "support our troops" magnetic labels should receive a tax bill for $5000 each: put up or shut up. Buying Chinese made magnetic labels does not support make. Overpaid hired military subcontractors blabbing about the essential services they provide should pay double that tax. Yeah, I mean you Serenity.

I buy my guide services from Walmart, they're good enough for 90% of the things we do down here and only cost $30.

I think its arguable that the tax cuts for the middle class need to expire too - for the most part they haven't even noticed they've gotten them because it just shows up as a little more in each paycheck, rather than a $500 check from the US Treasury. Yeah yeah, I know that's my tax cut too, so what. Since the Bush tax cuts ushered in the slowest growth decade in the history of the country, I see no real justification for the notion that continuing them is essential for creating more jobs in the US. Contrary to what Old Larry posted, if you think you're taxed too much, the only thing you're paying attention to is infotainment.

[TR] Dragontail Peak - Boving Route 8/13/2010
Off_White replied to Matt Christensen's topic in Alpine Lakes
This is absolutely the best thread on this board at the moment, really great to get the horses mouth rendition of the FA, thanks Matt. If you need help posting some photos, either I or any of the mods, or someone like Sol or Blake would be able to help you. For my two cents, not having climbed the route yet: > It doesn't matter to me if there is a rap route, the Dragonscar finish sounds like a fine option. > I'm really fond of safe belays, they make runouts more acceptable. The consequences of a long fall are part of a calculation, but the outcome of a pulled belay and the whole party falling to the deck is really gruesome. > Fixed pins are often pretty questionable, and I never seem to climb with a hammer and pins these days - I'd just as soon see a stainless bolt at a mandatory pin placement. -
The firefighter I know works an awful lot of overtime. How does that factor into gross pay? Replace the pigs with cheap rent-a-cops though, we'll all be better off.

If we conquered Oregon, all their bacon maple bars are belong to us.

Oh noes, does this mean we're getting the Lightning Dome nudie shots again? Happy happy Sobo, glad to hear you're all around happier this year than last.
