Will there be a torch-carrying vigilante squad patrolling to enforce this? Please!?!?

[TR] Le Petit Cheval near WA pass- Spontaneity Arete 7/20/2004

There was a fixed line there as of last weekend. Just to the left of the start of the first "bushy" pitch. I kinda like those two pitches - treeclimbing reminds me of my youth. -
So it rained last year; it didn't rain the year before and I believe we had them around the same time. I had fun.

Uh, boots that fit? I like Garmont Vettas, but they fit my feet like a dream.

Easy, sped. It's not like I was being serious, either. Hey don't try and change the subject. I can wear shorts over poly-pro if I want!! And he does. Sometimes just hanging around the house...he says it makes him feel "pretty."

Buy webbing that is unobtrusive if you have to leave it behind, or something that the police won't immediately spot. Uh...forget that last part...nevermind.

Lawyers, student revolutionaries, and other such personages. Actually, the ones I know who ARE involved I greatly respect.

Yes it is. If we made it easier for everyone there would be a fucking wheelchair ramp on el cap by now. Climb the mountain on the mountain's terms; not yours. If you don't have the skills stay in the gym. Nicely said. -
Nah, just get implants. Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Gee, Dryad, should we spraypaint directions on the approach for ya, or what? Give me a fucking break. It's not "more user friendly", it's an opportunity for those who don't know better to let down their guard. -

Good point, Tim, I've referred to it that way myself. I usually only consider the Lib Bell group as such, though. -

A Starbucks at Kangaroo Pass featuring the latest in world music and oppression-free farmed coffees would be great. Oh, and cinnamon rolls, too. -

Squamish is a cragging area, despite it's size, for one. Two, I agree with rat: the alpine environment is no place for "fixed" handlines simply because the ground is loose. Maybe there should be handlines on the upper 800' of Serpentine Arete, it's loose; what about up the Beckey Gully to Liberty Bell? It's loose and "ball-bearing" strewn there. Putting up handlines in an alpine environment "in the interest of establishing a moderate line" means that more people who haven't learned to travel safely in that environment will go and get hurt. -

Well said, rat. Mountain garbageman have been known to clean things up a time or two. -
Definitely odd. I was bivyed under a boulder South of Prusik Pass a few years back and woke up staring at an old steel plate. It looked pretty ancient, so I left it as it was. Cool to think about who passed before and left it.

I like this article I think this might have been talked about before, but I liked this editorial. Read at your leisure. Greg_W

Backyard Plateau, Grade III Approach: standard approach via kitchen. Traverse southeast to back door (Class 1; variation 1B includes shot of tequila: Class 2), step down onto deck. Follow deck south and descend onto flat boulder prior to topping out on plateau. Excellent bivvy site within easy reach of garden and water source. Total time: 2-5 minutes depending on fitness level. Gear Notes: Backyard hammock, hookah, Laguvulin and bag of ice, stereo. Right on!!! I'll post a TR after the weekend!!!

How about a non-technical, dog-friendly, hanging-out, laidback, sorta thing?

I agree on Wild Country hexes, but get the CURVED HEXES. They're super nice.

beginner looking for experienced climbing buddies

I'm not sure what type of climbing you are looking to do. You have some snow/glacier experience, but it's summer. Do you want rock experience? -
Fuckin' lame ass.

Tuck your tampon string in, beyotch, and suck on your squeezy-bottle of SHUTTHEFUCKUP! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
