  1. Good point, Mattp. It just gives me the willies when I think about the possibilities. I got my ring sized a tad loose for the very reason that I want to be able to take it off easily when I go climbing (most of the time I leave it home).
  2. I agree with North By Northwest, if some dumb fucker wants to wear a ring climbing finger cracks that's his choice. A stupid choice, but it's his to make. I've never warn tape gloves either; if someone told me I HAD to wear them on a certain climb I'd tell them to fuck off.
  3. What kind of temps did you run into Jay?
  4. tlg - check your pm's. Greg W
  5. I hear ya, Simpkins. I bought a Camalot once and before I could get out of the store, three chics had given me their numbers and one checked my pockets for spare change (if you know what I mean )
  6. Back to the top. Any takers? C'mon, I'm loads of rightwing fun!
  7. That's just downright mean, Mattp.
  8. Sport climbers are bolt clipping, hangdogging, goat fuckers.
  9. Don't count me out ya bastards. I might be there.
  10. JK - Wow, a whole new layer of weirdness there. What kind of Freudian wackiness is at work in my head?
  11. That, and a slightly soiled "I dream of Jeannie" costume!!! Yowza!!!
  12. Cool, Matt. Link doesn't work, though.

I got a chuckle out of reading how much was sprayed about this climb on Friday while David and I were out climbing it. Whatever, it's entertaining. I laughed even harder when I read about the throngs who headed out to climb it on Saturday.
  14. Maybe you should be posting on summitposeur.com then. This site is for juveniles and closet deviants.
  15. C'mon, honey. A few shots of tequila and we can put the "ho" in homemaker.
  16. Depends. You wanna come backstage, hon?
  17. Keep me informed on it. Might make it.
  18. Yeah, we have barstools with our names on them that we simul-solo every night. Oh, yeah. Fuck you Necro.

Dru - This was our plan, but our AAJ grant fell through.
  20. At your advanced age, your immune system is what it is. If I'm travelling, especially flying, I use "Airborne". You can get it from Trader Joe's. It's a vitamin and immune system booster that has helped me ward off colds my toddler brings home. Have SO take it before leaving and before returning, and maybe you do the same. Try that, or cut out the tonsil-hockey for a few days after he returns.

Good point, Ray. It was a great day and I learned some new shit. Besides, we missed the herd. Didn't look like anyone had been up that side yet.
  22. I have a narrow, low-volume foot and I fit in Scarpas rather well. You might give them a try if your foot is similar. Why don't you like your Koflachs? Besides being huge and bulky, they are warm (I have a pair).
  23. Depends on what fits your foot, Scot'door Research. Look at Scarpa Cerro Torre Insulated or Kayland Revolution; don't know much about La Sportiva's.
  24. We didn't get a sense of an inversion yesterday (Friday) at Chair Peak. The snow never got mushy, even on the summit.

    Ahh, kids

I was in Borders Bookstore with my 3.5 y.o. daughter picking up Nelson's Cascade Select, Vol I. She wanted a book to look at, soI gave it to her to look at as we went to check out. She kept flipping to different pictures and saying, "Papa, I want to climb that with you." I'm hoping for a gear sponsorship someday!!
