wait, so does this mean i'm eventually goign to do from taking lead aid-falls onto my grigri? seems like i've taken a good dozen or so over the past few years, all on a fat 10.5 rope, with no obvious damage and i'm a very large mammal.

credit unions are not for profit, otherwise they're the same? my understanding is they're still insured by the feds in case of going under.

meh. havne't seen enough to make me think its far out of bounds - the idea was to stoke green energy, so of course it'd involve handing out cash. is there strong evidence it was handed out to folks for purely corrupt purposes? was bho given these dudes cash that they were kicking back? or was he guilty of no more than false hopes that this would help get folks back to work, like a president should? Ivan's waiting for all the evidence to surface first. Don't rush to judgement!!! hell, i served on a jury, i can rush to judgement just fine - what i've seen in my less than hardcore following of the story hasn't set me off - what did i miss?
-
Uh, pretty far? no doubt you can go far, just takes a good bit more charisma and substance than ole'cain i feel - frankly, if home boy could get us a similiar long-term boom and good-time as clinton, i'd be tempted....don't see that in the cards though - seriously, do you?

sunday looks the perfect day for going underground - don't know much 'bout caving but got some beta for the dynamite cave down here vancouver way - sounds like a bunch of easy walking and then rapping on fixed lines, then jugging back up - alcoholics n' drug fiends welcome (hell, maybe preferred?)

Bush. naw, he was, as you recall, a disaster on the campaign trail in double-ought two too. might explain why more 'mericans voted against him then for him that year?

dunno - i like to be lost and so never seem to have a guidebook - thought that was the tombstone crack that abraxas went to at the end of p3? we rapped where there was a good anchor and everythign above was chossy easiness to the false summit, from which you look to do a rope-lenght of traversing, then some down and back up to the true top. i'll be back soon enough i bet, fucking beaconben is drawn to this thing like flies 2 shit! -
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN?!?!

show me your internutz searching skillz are better than mine - i recall recently reading/hearing a study that showed the very opposite, but didn't find it in the 30 seconds i allowed myself to look for it okay fine, "john stewart viewers more informed" is google-worthy - seems the topic has been kicked about plenty impartial take on the subject? I'll look around for the "primary news source" bit. At any rate, if Daily Show watchers are more informed in general it doesn't necessarily mean they're more informed from watching the show. At best, this study found the Daily Show isn't really any worse (or better) in terms of substantive content than other news shows within the infotainment complex. Not exactly a ringing endorsement given the current media landscape. On a different note, it's my sneaking suspicion that despite their liberal orientation, these ratings-driven "news" shows have done as much as Fox to enable the kind of train-wreck gawking celebrity politics we see now. Laugh it up, but not too hard. i didn't think anyone was saying the daily show itself made folks more informed, more like informed people like the show b/c they actually understand and appreciate the satirization they can find there for the stories they know bill maher and jon stewart are the dessert course after the sad-sack main course of faux and the like...

uh, isn't that what primaries and elections are all about?
-
gas station powdered donuts have always seemed yer greatest weakness

dunno 'bout the other liberal douchebags 'round here, but i sure am hoping the elephants move on and give big man cain the nod! how wierd would the election history be when obama wins two elections against two different nutballs named 'cain?
-
it's easy to make fun of reality, it just takes creativity and a sense of irony, neither of which literalist conservatives do well
