    Positives of Bush

I spoke to an east Indian who said Bush had done a lot for India. Basically, he gave them a bunch of money to build centers to develope job training programs. Too bad he refused to do that for his own country. But at least he is not a socialist.
  3. Enter the internet. As in Barak Obama's fund raising machine. The internet is where the next big social movement will spring from. I am soooo glad Al invented it.

Having trouble connecting the dots are we? Get some sleep.
  6. I have a van for sale for $1800. GMC Vandura 305 gets about 17mpg. Queen bed or bench seat in back. Four captains chairs forward all reclining. Small table in the middle. Party van!
  7. Lived in the Valley all summer. Cooked pizzas at Degnan's pizzaria and climbed. Good times.
  8. Happy Birthday Sherri! Post some pics from Red Rocks. We've all been getting bitchy over the election and need some releif.
  9. What's going on tvash? FW challenge you to a duel?
  10. King county voted down the King dome twice. They built it anyway. Then they built two more stadiums on the pretext that it would make Seattle a destination, a contender, a viable economic downtown. Same logic should apply to a place like PPM that has been around so long everybody knows to go there. Even the little fish shop where they yell and throw fish around is now a famous inspirational place featured in a mvie on how to inspire your employees. Take away and they'll all quit.
  11. Even Suhdguru recommended voting for "CHANGE". I will do my Yoga on a mountaintop. "Free at last, Free at last! Thank God almighty, We are free at last!"
  12. Hey, that is "FW" on that hard hat. Are you coming out Fairweather?
  13. Good post Pindude! Thanks for the refresher.
  14. . I aren't either. Onion head Jeez
  15. First intelligent thing you've said in a long time. maybe first let's abolish corporate welfare. didn't we just spend 700 billions of dollars on corporate welfare? even more- 70 billions of dollars will be spent on upper management compensations- if this is not a welfare, i don't know what is! the point is that the expense of welfare spent on individuals is ten fold smaller then all the corporate bail-outs, tax giveaways, loopholes. how about 1 million dollar bus stops (compliments of ted stevens)? how about no-bid contracts for Haliburton? how about tax brakes for corporations moving their operations to china? It is not the money I am concerned about so much as the number of kids who get a bad start. Otherwise I agree with you. Fairweather, you are so far to the right I don't think you would agree with my full stand on socialism.
  16. Welfare is a shambles and an embarassment to the Democratic party. Not because of what it tries to do nor because it is socialism. But because it teaches successive generations that working for a living is stupid. The welfare system needs a major overhaul. Most welfare recipients should be REQUIRED TO WORK to get anything beyond basic bread and cheese imo. Half of them could be watching the kids from the other half while the second half works in the welfare office for all I care. My point is that kids need to see that their parents have to work to earn a living.

    Trick or Treat

We keep hearing about a train wreck but we have had 8 years of an administration that will stop at nothing to get its way. It might not matter who gets the most votes.
  18. Didn't those Republican Watergate burglars pose as plumbers to get in? Then we got Joe the plumber who espouses the republican mantra of facts and science are bogus. How are we gonna get richer offa this? Now we have Fairweather the plumber. After several years of being told we are "unpatriotic" for not supporting the war in Iraq by our president, after our vice president publicly identified the whistle blower in the Abu Garub scandal (in effect, tried to get him killed), After that same VP outed a CIA operative and got her most if not all of her former contacts killed, NOW, NOW, Fairweather the plumber wants us to condemn Obama for publically disagreeing with Joe the plumber. I have to ask you Fairweather, what is Joe the Plumber losing here? What is he at risk of by Obobma disagreeing with him?
  19. X-mas is early most years. But there are still turns up high. Sometimes you have to find wind blown gullies etc but other times, X-mas is great skiing. Lookout is a really good area. Stop on the FS raod that head s on the east side of the slode right off the freeway exit. Sometimes the road is drivable. Usually not. Snow mobilers use it a lot. Be nice and bumb a ride. They usually do not get into the areas that are really fun to ski. Just keep heading south and it gets better and better. If you do not have a snowmobile ride, stay high. Other areas are numerous. Snow bowl off the back side of point 6. Whishard Ridge up the Blackfoot. Lolo pk, Little St Joe, St Marys pk. are all pretty good entry level runs. Pretty much every east-west ridge in the Bitterroot but be selective depending on your adventure quotient. I often found early snow in the gullies on the north aspects. And you are really on your own out there. Chances of someone finding you before you freeze hard as a rock are slim.
  20. Reagoniass was the "Philosopher of the Republic" extrordinaire long before your days son. He was the original "thinker" in contemporary republican philosophia. It was Reagoniass who founded the great principles of the movement such as "The unemployed don't work because they don't want to." and "there is nothing wrong with the economy". He had an uncanny knack for cutting to the core of the issue as seen from far away. His statements were made with a flair and pannashe that carried the day. There was no need for facts. It was a simpler time. A time when dumbasses could walk with their heads held high in public places. A time when they could even become Supreme Court Justices. A time in which Ann Rande would have felt plagerized. But alass, it was not to last. For the evil empires of science and democracy barked and nipped at his heels like jackals in the night. His memory did not fade for a long time and even still holds a high place in circles of the ignorant and rich. Would that they all could have stayed that way.
