  1. Make it Sunday. My Daughter has a bball game Sat.
  2. Nice work. Looks fun. I did the green route once. Yup, the cornice was interesting. But someone had already chopped through it for me. It was filled back in about 2/3 but not as solid as the rest of the cornice. It sounds like we had better conditions than you but its hard to say who had more fun..
  3. Yeah. With kids, its all about the hot chocolate. My daughters love to get out now (10 & 12). With non-climbing-bitten-wives, its all about the mattress and breakfast in bed. I got lucky and found one who loves to get out in the mountains. Numbers 1 and 2 didn't work out that way.
  4. I scramble eggs, brains and peaks. I'll send you an email.
  5. Who's up for Chair? NW butt or NF depending on conditions.
  6. Look up Jan Nesset in Golden. Tell him I said he sucks.
  7. Easy there Bug, I'm sure there will be some upper level ridge moving in on a Thursday in June. LOL. Not to worry. That is for other motivated peeps. I do have this weekend free for alpine fun though.
  8. "A moderate upper ridge should approach the coast Thursday morning and slowly move across western Washington Thursday afternoon through early Friday. This should produce clearing skies, gradually rising freezing levels, and decreasing and relatively light winds."
  9. At 48, I pretty much cover everything. Fine then. BBR this summer. Early season.
  10. Hmm. Have to do that one. I have a 5 Camelot just for that offwidth.
  11. Build it and they will come.

Feb 17. It is probably still in but the weather has been warm. BF is a classic WI2- in a perfect setting. The rap is climbers left from a tree or descend via the ledges under Nez Pierce (on the right). But don't leave anything at the base cause its a long ways back from the end of the ledges.
  13. This is a good goal to be sure. For some of us, getting out often enough to keep in shape and form is a problem. Safety is realative to your skill level in these circumstances and we all have to make our own judgements pertaining to fun/safety/style. But Wayne and Dru would be the folks I'd listen to if I were an aspiring hardman.

  15. Sweet pics! I was flyig back from a fire in PA several years ago. "A River Runs Through It" was my book for the plane. Just as I finished the story about Blodgett Canyoon (the author fought a fire in there in the 40's), I looked out the window and we were flying over Blodget Canyon.

    Montana in April?

That is ski mountaineering season. Be ready to ice climb and rock climb too but don't count on either.
