The tent is small enough.$30 The stove is a coleman "backpacking" stove. It is small but not as small as most modern backpacking stoves. $10

I would recommend spending most of your honeymoon in the vagina. And I thought the spray was getting dry here. Good work!

We (my daughters and I) will be climbing somewhere in Icicle on Sunday. Look for my little green Toyota Paseo and drop by. We may have other members of a 6th grade girls b-ball team too. Just follow the screaming and giggles.

Our city, county, and state government are still run by gangsters. That billion dollars RTA spent was never questioned and we are witnesses to a re-do on the 520 bridge and the viaduct. Meanwhile, the schools get screwed and Nichols & Simms get richer. This is my first time I will SERIOUSLY consider voting for a republican governor. He will trash education but maybe the gangsters will be scared off by outsider oversight.

I have a tent and stove. Don't buy a used rope from someone you don't know well.

Relax b.... Just kidding. Are you contending that there are just as high a percentage of girls who climb as guys? If you are, you are just plain out of touch. It is changing but there are still WAY more guys out there climbig than girls and aren't females 51% of the population? Besides, as I stated, we are talking about climbers vs debutants.

But what will I do with all that extra money?
-
They're guidelines really..... Same issues? Take pictures.

Yeah! I could lose about the same amount. That hurts. We are on track for training. She decided on her ow to walk up the hill to her school from now on. It is not a huge hill but big enough to make a huge difference over the next few months.

Dunno. There's nobody I'd rather be in the mountains with. My spouse = my best friend = good times on trips. If someone's having problems climbing with their SO, I suspect there are other problems unrelated to climbing. Bingo. Like honesty. But first, if you are a female posting on this site, you are disqualified. You heard me. You are now a "climber". You want to climb. You will climb. You will climb no matter what the SO does. That takes you out of the "normal" category. You are now a "T-type". 98.7% of the rest of the female persuasion will have no freakin idea who you are, why your fingernails are short, nor what you do on weekends. Get over it. They will not. You are cooler. So we have established that you are a minority and you are not one of the SO's being discussed in this thread so shut up with your phyco-babble. If the girls I dated and "climbed" with in highschool, college and beyond would have been honest about the fact that they really wanted to lounge in the sun by a big rock, I would not be involved in this thread. If I had one share of Microsoft stock for every time I carried a fucking rack and rope to a damn picnic, I would be in Patagonia right now. Thank you for listening. I feel better.

No. You are supposed to wait 15 minutes before eating the second half.

That's where the penis goes, right?
-
Hey, THANK YOU!! This is all good info.

Hmm. OK. And what's wrong with stinky? So I checked out a couple more detailed links on the Inca trail and it looks good for me. I will have to run it by the SO. So, Belize and Costa Rica. Ideas? Locations? Activities?
-
Have you done this? It sounds good from the links I looked at but I would want to be sure about the camping. It would be a bummer to be camped next to someone's llama pen or some other armpit. On the other hand, if there were nice natural sites with views and peaceful settings, I might bring it up. How are the bugs? How many amenites along the way? The links I saw were not very detailed.

Good ideas T but Macchu Piccu is on the top of her list for next places to visit. She is easily transferrable from city to country and has traveled extensively. She loves backpacking and can "make do" just about anywhere. She does need to be active. Sitting still will definately NOT work. That said, we want it to be a fun and relaxed trip, not a difficult adventure. "Fun and relaxed" is still not the same for us as it would be for a girl who likes manicures and spa's. My girl scoffs at both. We just need decent food, regular showers, and more fun time than travel time.
-
Oh, I should mention, she is from Florida so deep snow is not a option.

10 days in early September. Machu Pichu is under close scrutiny. We are not a formal pair ( she owns 1 dress that I know of). She does not climb. While I am hoping to get some good ideas, spray is welcome too.

Klettern nach Icicle Sonntag.

THIS LINK CRASHED MY COMPUTER.

To someone like Colin or Wayne, yes. On the other hand, if something is aqua, kind of blue and kind of green is either color being overused as an adjective?

Alpine means climbing a peak using ropes and gear. Some would say that a hike up a peak is alpine. Some would say that climbing at Index in bad weather is alpine. Both would be a stretch. Alpine is upper elevations (realative term). After climbing Champagne on Snow Creek wall with AlpineFox, we also did the sawtooth ridge to get to the top of OuterSpace. AF referred to it as "having and alpine feel". There were loose sections, lichen, we were on top of a ridge, and we were roped in. We did not have pons, ax, bivy gear but those are often included in alpine climbing.

what is the name of the thread. i always just called it climbing whatever formation it is, why alpine? i'm seriously interested on other peoples opinions on this topic. i don't talk about climbing to much, i go climbing. i just like interacting w/people who have a common interest. I couldn't find it. I entered "Alpine" and came up with 12 pages. Anyway, I was just poking you in the eye because you usually come back with something colorful. Now I feel bad for hurting your feelings. So hear is my stab. Were you wet sometimes? Did you have to bushwhack to get to the base? Were you eventually higher than most of the terrain you could see? Did some of the holds fall off and nearly hit you or your partner? Did you carry a pack? Did you wish you had brought an ice ax? Did you have to bivy? http://www.traditionalmountaineering.org/Sport.htm
