Hey Jamin, I am truely glad you are still alive! When figuring out where exactly to place a bolt, consider the stance from which the bolt will be clipped (vs where you are drilling from). Can everybody of normal height reach the bolt easily? Is there a place that is protected from rockfall under a lip or something? etc. Please be very careful about slamming in permanent bolts that everyone who goes there will see for the next 100 years or so. Agreed. But that doesn't make me their freakin maid. I also talk to them about time commitments and planning their activities so they will have time to play. My youngest is 10 now and she totally gets it. It is important to have downtime.

I will have my daughters in Icicle Sunday. We will climb if possible but be hanging out in general. Look for the little green Toyota Paseo and yell at us.

Any stressful situation will bring out the best/worst in a relationship. Maybe we should ALL take your SO climbing to see who they really are.

Yeah. My kids do chores too. It's still more work for me to get them to do them than it is to just do it myself. It's hard not to spoil the little rascals.

It IS a choss pile. All of Montana is a choss pile. You might as well stay home and spray about the choss piles in Montana. You will feel better about yourself. Serously, it is the Drip Buttress in Blodget canyon. The chimney to the right of the screen is the Syphlitic Slit 5.9. There is a nice 4 pitch 5.9 route immediately right of that. The route in my pic is undone as far as I know. But there were a lot of adventure climbers in there between the 70's and 90's. Regardless, it looks fun.
