  1. RBW, what comment of mine would be found offensive by feminists? I am a liberal woman who feels that women should be given the same opportunities as men, does that make ME a feminist?
  2. Trask, let me get this straight: I asked how being anti-this war=not being a patriot, or something to that effect. The response to this is something oddly threatening, from someone who once threatened to sue me for libel, and some stuff about me getting gang-raped, or gang-banged, for the more liberal-minded among us. And I am supposed to lighten up? Where's the balance and proportionality in all of this? If I don't stand up for myself, there is absolutely horrible stuff smeared all over the board about me, all of which is untrue, and if I do, I get told to lighten up and calm down. Where does all of this hate and anger come from, anyway?
  3. The idea of a gang rape or a gang er, bang, is not something that the female psyche typically finds sexy or appealing. It's terrifying, it's offensive, and it is completely inappropriate, even to spray. Itseriously makes me want to vomit. How whis is even remotely funny is way beyond me. To put another view on it: how would you feel if this remark were directed at your wife, daughter, or girlfriend?
  4. That is incorrect. I merely asked you if you intended it as a threat. There is a big difference.
  5. Well whether the author thinks I would be willingly gang raped or not, the whole notion makes me want to throw up.
  6. A badly written limerick about me getting gang-raped in the basement of a church....now that is some pretty witty material.
  7. BooHiss I demand a recount!!

    Which 4WD SUV?

I'm surprised no one had mentioned the Toyota Highlander. My BF has one that I drive a LOT, and despite feeling mighty like a soccer mom when behind the wheel, it's a sweet ride. Handles nice, has good ground clearance, and gets better gas mileage than my old Soob. It's an even better ride since one of Muffy's kids threw up in it last month!
  10. Okay so who is driving the Short Bus to downtown from Ballard?
  11. Hey now Tree Boy, I actually voted for the one that's farther from Ballard!
  12. Um, I don't have to leave my desk to have my opinion quashed based on my gender. Now why don't you try answering my question. Sisu, interesting response.
  13. I know I am going to regret asking this....but I'm going to anyway. Why do you two have such hatred toward those who do not agree with you about our unprovoked invasion of Iraq? This country was ostensibly founded on the tenets of tolerance and freedom for all, and yet the values you are espousing in this conversation, well, they come across as other than that, and somehow imply that by disagreeing with the invasion, we are somehow unpatriotic.
  14. The Buck is too small ,and DP's being out of town should not keep us from drinking downtown.
  15. I'd like to go somewheres where I can get a little bit o' food, so I'm voting for the Owl and Thistle, since I unfortunately was unable to catch the last rotation into Ballard. The Eastside is not an option this week as we had it out of town last week.
  16. Good morning lads and lasses! It's time to argue about where we are going to drink this week.
  17. Camoflauged hardware is easy to do, just get a couple of colors of spray paint and do it yourself. That is always a great suggestion, as is pming Mattp re Static Point history and stuff. He might know people who could tell you what you need to know about installing bolts.
  18. Alpental on Wednesday "a little heavy"? Dude, it was more than a little heavy!
  19. I say go for someone who shares your enthusiasm for the outdoors. Do stuff together, and do stuff apart when the objectives are dissimilar, both will love, trust and tolerate the other's relationship with the outdoors. Oh, and having said that, I must say thanks again to Stefan for his assistance in helping me find "the guy".

  21. Looking for a source....40 day supply at Group Death is $25...anyone do better than this?
  22. Were any jackets burned?
  23. We drove over Tiger Pass on Hwy 18 on the way back yesterday. T.P is at 1400 feet, and it was snowing there. It was 36 and snowing hard at Snoqualmie Pass. This is the last full week for Alpental. I be there Wednesday, weather permitting.
  24. Duh! The Near East is just the other side of the Cascades!
  25. Didn't follow the carnage, er, news, all weekend....did we go to Code Red recently? As I work in places where large groups of people assemble, this presents a real hassle if we did in fact go to Red.
