Rob, With all due respect, Chris and I have very different personalities. I am not asking for ways to have a different personality. I am not asking for ways to conduct myself differently. If you knew me in person, and especially if we had ever talked politics, you would know that how I am on the board is a pretty logical extension of who I am in person. And trust me, I am not a whiner.

Well, having said what I did last night, I must now admit to having cowritten a song in the 80s called "Drinking for Jesus," which was a big hit on the Belltwon circuit for a month or two. I wish I had a copy of the lyrics as I have forgotten most of it, but one of the lines is "...hard to hold that shot glass/with a nail in your palm..." Really I am just as guilty as the rest of you all!

Listen, lads, you can call me a drama queen or don't call me a drama queen, say I am part of the problem or not part of the problem, but what I am looking for is the ability to get into these discussions without having my sexual morals challenged or dragged through the mud. Maybe if this shit stops sometime there will be a few more women on this board too. I know my posts come off as obnoxious sometimes. That is not an accident. When people carry on about this and that and there seems to be no thought behind their idea, I want to know how they got there. Having said all of this, it has been suggested that I change my screen name to something gender-neutral. As much as I hate the idea of doing that, it may come down to it, because I am getting pretty tired of defending myself. I went to Trader Joe the other day and they didn't have any of the Charles Shaw wine we have all grown to love as the best 3$ bottle of red you can get. Fortunately they have this Argentine stuff called "Boca", a Cab, a Merlot, and a Malbec. At the princely sum of $2.99, I would skip the Merlot and the Cab, they are mere pretenders to the throne. Hail to the Malbec! Even better than the Charles Shaw Cab!

For the record: I do complain about posts that seem over the line to me. Sometimes they are dealt with, and sometimes they are not. The gang bang was deemed "not that bad" by the one mod I discussed it with. The attacks on me by Tomcat happened while I was out of town. Apparently he was angered by the fact that I very plainly told him to his face that I didn't want to talk to him at a Pub Club after he has behaved badly in PM and on the board in my general direction. There were several witnesses to the exchange. I may have mistakenly identified "Cobra" as Ray. I don't know if I did or not, no one is talking. If I did, it's certainly not the first time it has happened. He thought I was "Attitude" for months. I am not. It is not a big deal. No, I was not thrilled to see Ray last night. He scares me. All he did was call me a "dumb dunce" though, so maybe I really have nothing to worry about. One more thing: while I openly admit to being a woman, I have not played the gender card. It has been others that have focused on that detail, and chosen to trash my name based on that. I am going to hide under the couch now.

As far as whether or not Ray's limerick directly threatens, well, I'd agree that it does not. I think references to threats may have gotten mixed into the soup by accident. While I cannot speak for the entire female gender on this subject, I can say that the idea of a consensual gang-bang is not part of the typical feminine sexual psyche, and the idea makes the skin crawl and the stomach turn. You can believe me or don't believe me, but it is definitely over the line. It sounds just like rape run through our filters. As far as references to prison rape, well, that is over the line and not funny too, and if it weren't on the board would we be missing so much? I especially support this idea if the object of the reference has a problem with jokes about he/she being raped in prison. This is not so much about this one thread as it is about what is objectionable. I didn't see anyone freaking out when the line was drawn in the proverbial sand re pedophilia and the rape and abuse of kids. For me, this hits the triggers too.

As far as Scott's remark, well, I made a mistake. No harm, no foul, no worries. As far as the other issue, well, I am unable to see how asking pointed questions about people's beliefs deserves the kind of personal attacks that I get. As long as that is happening here, expect me to defend myself. I try not to call names nor make personal attacks myself. SC, I am okay, thanks, but I've got to say my piece here even if it falls on somewhat deaf ears.

Rob, For the record, I am not trying to pick a fight with you. The choice of words was intentional. Women do not generally want to have sex with groups of men, this is something that is forced, or at the very least, coerced, upon them. Having said that, I am sure there are exceptions. I am not one of them, and the idea of rape sickens me and frightens me. Trask, sorry I am not more docile and as you put it, "sexy."
