I remember one guy being too stoned to lead the first pitch of that disputed numbers three pitch thing, and one girl being too sick and feeble to do anything any good. She got a real bad cold from the stoned guy. I also remember some Canadians waving from on top of some rock thing traverse they were hiking on. Then I made steaks and we all drank beer with Anna. One of the Canadians started telling a story which made the other Canadian and the other guy they brought run for cover. By the time the one Canadian was done we wished we had done the same. That one Canadian really long story guy eats peaches right out of the can. Radical. That was all last year though.

JG, nice job matey!

Um, actually I think the idea here is not fighting fire with fire. Rather not having the fight reduced to slander and whatnot in the first place.

How are you guys getting this? I am only getting 50 posts total on my search...

jb, I admire your temerity. It would be great if there were more battles of wit around here and less hate, gay-bashing, women-bashing, attacks on character, race, religion, patriotism and a whole lot of other things. As you probably know, the world can be a pretty funny place even without these convenient comedic devices. It does, however, take more thought that simply typing some reference to stuffing a marmot up someone's ass. Having said that, you are fighting a losing battle here. Many have tried, none have succeeded. You will probably have more luck focusing on what is over the line and what is not. The line creeps this way and that way, and there are a lot of places that the disputed territory is still up for grabs. Gang bangs on women, for example, are currently acceptable, but will hopefully go permanently onto the unacceptable side soon. And to those who say "if you don't want to get attacked, stay out of spray", well, there is a lot being discussed in Spray these days besides, say, whether or not DFA will be Trask's "boy" in prison. If people want to willfully engage in these sorts of exchanges, then fine, but don't assume that just 'cuz people post in spray, that they are okay with you peeing in their bottom or whatever.

So tell me, how did we get from "hey that Malbec is pretty good", to "red wine addiction"? That makes about as much sense as the Saddam/Osama connection. And feel free to make light all you want. I've had my share of Chinese colds in the last year, and they are a lot harder to kick than the regular American kind. At this point I'm not convinced that by tomorrow there aren't going to be mandatory quarantines by the looks of the CDC information.
-
I've been monitoring the CDC website, and this is not a matter I'm inclined to take so lightly anymore.
-
Not just the pub clubbers actually.
-
Yep, they won't let my BF go back to work when he returns from China tomorrow.
-
Well that's pretty funny Muffy because if you are an American and you show up at a Canadian hospital they gouge you pretty damn hard for crappy health care.
-
The Canadian health care isn't the best, but hey, a lot of us have HMO care these days, and it's harly what you would call good either.... To wit: I broke both of my ankles in Canada. At the Penticton Regional Hospital I was diagnosed with a broken tib and a broken fib, both on the right side. Left one was sprained. At Group Health it was two sprained ankles until a surgeon looked at the pictures and then it was a broken talus and calc on the right and some metatarsal on the left. I'm still not convinced there wasn't more. The point being that my personal experience would put the Canadian health care about on par with an HMO.

I'd trade our way of life for their way of life any day of the week. You'd think that shitbag NAFTA treaty would have at least made it easier to emigrate.

What Lunkman said. Remember that just because you can say whatever you want on the Internet doesn't mean you have to.

if you want to be a strong climber 25% is way too fat. it is dead weight because it doesnt help you pull. maybe if you are into peaks and you need it to keep warm. but if you are sereious about training you should not be above 20 and better 15%. Um, it's called making a joke, MissChestbeaterScreenName.

I liked that Bill Bradley guy. Lumox--whatchoothalkin'bout?

I heard it was Samuel L. Jackson. Rumors. The only thing that is going to satisfy this lefty liberal is getting rid of yet another Bush. Let's hope this whole Iraq debacle lights enough of a fire under the collective asses of the Democratic Party to put someone halfway decent out there to run against the Shrub. Run a solid campaign, speak to the younger voters (puhleeze don't forget about them) and of course, if the numbers are close, call in James Carville. Let's hope there is no Nader thing to draw our votes elsewhere either. And no RB, I didn't see any personal attack in what you said. I was just participating in the conversation.

Time to chat! http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/threadz/jchat.php

Yes, this is the stupidest thread of all time. I know somewhere in there I mentioned my BF's Highlander gets better gas mileage than my s00bie, but did I mention it burns cleaner too? Having said that, what on earth is up with those gigantic SUVs? Even some of the normal sized ones are bunk, my mom's Exploder has roughly the same ground clearance as a Miata.

Well the Klenklican Party platform has some pretty suspiciously Repubelicany looking plankz in it!! (overheard on the chairlift..."what do you think of the idea of having English as our national language?")
-
what she said! Hell, klenk's a Republican! What can you do! So I didn't go today because nobody wanted to go and I didn't want to go by myself, anyone up for going Friday?
-
What, you say "25% body fat" like it is a lot or something.....
-
to DFA for his killer wit to Petey Puget for his lovely compliments

Holy mackerel! 20 free games? When we going??? The bowling alley is the perfect all-ages venue to boot!Yippee!

Of course he did, as soon as we are done bombing the shit out of Iraq, we need to hand out big contracts for US companies to do the rebuild. Corporate Welfare is as American as baseball and apple pie!
