I found a lot of good stuff on the web...including the thread from last year on this site.
Check some of the Denali guides' sites for a decent gear checklist.
Brought my skis up there this last weekend. Didn't bother taking them to the summit - too suncupped. The snow below to the treeline wasn't too bad, though. It's a lot of carrying skis for not a whole lot of skiing.
No shit. It's cuz the French (and Euro's for that matter) are pissed that an American is crushing them at their own game for the sixth straight year. Imagine a French football team coming over and winning the Super Bowl six straight times.
Shit...I'd go climbing with you if my joints didn't ache all the time...my arthritis didn't flare up...my hemerrhoids weren't bugging me...and my walker ain't in the shop.
Exactly. When I sell something that isn't so common (like a #5 Camalot) I'll ask where they're taking it, too. Just curiosity on my part. Ya'll are paranoid.
I've always had a good experience when I've shopped there. I guess some people expect the same kind've treatment they get when they shop for their tassled loafers at Nordstroms.
Yeah...its kinda spooky sometimes to see how thin the bottom link is on some of the chain anchors at some crags because of the groove worn into them from repeated lowers and topropes.
