Anyone know about the anchor situation on Fee Demo Wall? I heard the climbs just randomly terminate. I'm asking for a friend...I've never been up there. I couldn't find anything with a search. Thanks!

I agree with Matt and Fern. It's all situation dependent - if you adhere to a set of practices, regardless of what's going on around you, you're relying on rote memorization of a set of tasks rather than using the resourceful and creative skills a safe climber should have.

Glad to hear he'll be okay I agree climbers have to look out for themselves, but a fixed line isn't gonna be much of an impact, especially for an established sport climbing area and if it's going to protect a potentially life threatening fall. All of these arguments could have been made for the ladders and bridges at Index.

Jeezus...last time I was there we had no less than 6 encounters with those things, including one at the top of the climbs at Royal Columns. These guys had to shoo one away that ended up chilling on their rope bag while they were climbing.

Geez...I hope that bear made it down okay without falling into a crevasse!

Great weekend ya'll - thanks for coming out! Saturday's weather turned out pretty good for the clinics; props to all the folks who helped teach them. It was also a great chance to play with the new cams in real cracks, rather than just fiddling with them in a store. Timmy's slideshow on Saturday night drew around 200 folks to the Bridge Creek group site and was as funny as you'd expect it to be. Also, a ton of money was raised for the Washington Climber's Coalition, so In short...A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL! More pics at the FF website.
