    justification

I am against further versions of the patriot act. I don't want it used by a possible future left-wing/Democrat administration to surveil the free speech and internet chatter of me and my right-wing compatriots. ...perhaps if this new version had a 2009 sunset provision I could hop on board... "Those that would sacrifice liberty for temporary personal safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." ---Benjamin Franklin ...That's where I stand, Erik. It's Sunday and I'm eating cold pizza and drinking a Coke. Shouldn't I be outside doin' something?

    seriously

j_b, I think it is the utter arrogance displayed by you and Sexual Chocolate that drives folks over the edge. You both seem to have strong opinions covering a good-many issues, and that's fine. But then you package your beliefs in an "I'm-so-much-smarter-and-more-educated-than-you-'rednecks' " style and lose the debate vis a vis your own haughty attitudes. Sexual Chocolate even mocks the spelling of those he disagrees with when all of his other arguments have failed. (And yes, I recently, and intentionally responded to him in kind.) Believe it or not, there are some very educated people out in the world who regularly use words like "fuck", "horsecock", "dipshit", "suckstart", "poopchute", etc. and enjoy making jokes occasionally at the expense of others. Accept it. What I find most amusing about "your type" is the vehemence with which you will defend your free-speech rights.....and then how quickly you will try to stifle the speech of those with whom you disagree by using false claims of racism, bigotry, or my favorite cliche; "inflamatory". Think about it..... dipfuck.

One of my favorite bumper stickers: "If guns are outlawed can we use swords?"
  5. Sorry, I'm afraid I don't take political opinions into consideration when someone is injured and cold or dying. Actually I do know you, you were up on Leuthold's just last year. I remember you, you wore nepal extremes. Later. ...just spray... and anyhow, I've proudly and successfully avoided helicopter rides for my entire 25 year climbing carreer. Those Nepal Extremes sucked! I'm back in my plastics! Sunshine route later this month. Peace.
  6. I don't know you either prick. But if I'm ever in need on Mount Hood...stay the fuck away from me.
  7. My $$$$ is on Trask!
  8. Hey SC! Shouldn't you be watching "The West Wing" and jerking off right now?

    Let's argue.

Wow, way to make me angry buddy. That's tough coming from someone who cuts trees for a living. i know i'm gonna regret this but what does someone's occupation have to do w/their ability to debate? I know plenty of well educated people who do not work in fields related to their degrees. How noble and educated you are Minx! Tell me: do you actually know, or associate with any of the 75% of the population with no degree at all? You remind me of Sexual Chocolate.
  10. Good question! I would say spelling a word like "behavior" in its British form, "behaviour"... possibly to enhance one's own perceived prowess behind the keyboard with hope to inspire such awe in the reader that they would not dare notice the weakness behind the writer's premise....this is the LCD of humanity. FYI: colour = color grey = gray drawring = drawing
  11. I see several German made H&K's in that collection. They should be melted down and replaced with "allied" weapons.
  12. Ahh yes....The Honorable Senator Robert Byrd. Senior Senator.... ....and former KKK recruiter/member. His words mean nothing.
  13. "I heard on NPR" ...then it must be true!
  14. ...the normal route. Gilhooley Tower on right.
  15. Here are some pics. The face just above the basin is about 40 to 50 degrees and had tracks on it when we passed it on our way to do the "normal" Deception Glacier. Looks like it would be a beautiful climb! Note: photo shows about the top 50% of the face. "Honeymoon Route" goes up the couloir to the right of the big black tower.
  16. Even in a "normal" snow year you can usually access Royal Basin by May 01. The lake won't be melted out, but you wont hit snow until you pass the lower meadow. I've climbed Deception, Fricaba, Warrior, others in that rain shadow area....always in late April/early May. Should be good access this year too!
  17. You're right! Dan Rather obviously has hired Saddam to stand-in for him on the CBS Evening News.
  18. Yea, and you're a portrait of neutrality. I don't know upon what planet you reside, but usually burning the flag of one's own country equals hatred/disdain for said nation. ....that's how I can say that. But regardless, you missed my point.
  19. Look OW, I am sad that a young girl died. I don't know what her views/politics were prior to her enrollment at ESC, but I think that the public, and certainly the family of this young miss, should take a long, hard look at what the role of the college is. Especially the professor involved in this program. (Is this the same guy who got his class arrested in Mexico?) A 23 year old girl thought she was invincible and that her views were right absolute. Perhaps a professor with an agenda took advantage of that youthful exhuberance. From the looks of the photos, she hated her country (not a crime!) and wanted to express that hatred in front of children already surrounded by enough anger. I'm sorry, but she was not a peacemaker. I won't try to engage you re the Palestinian-Isreali conflict at this point. Needless to say, my sympathies lie (mostly) with Isreal. I don't think there is enough evidence at this point to judge the driver of the dozer. (Unless you want to rely solely on the testimony of her cohorts.)
  20. Get a grip, Off White. You and yours want to make some kind of saint out of this woman when the facts-ignored by you-demonstrate she was partisan. You don't know the situation any better than I do, but if this is what Evergreen does with their "blank slates", I can guarantee you there will be hell to pay. I'm sure she was a good, friendly, and obviously idealistic individual. But don't try to cannonize her. She knew the deal.
  21. ...More Rechel Carrie. Woman of principle: Apparently burnin' the American flag shows these little children the path to peace. I call it: "Blinded by Hatred".
  22. Trask, go back to your room and shut up while the adults are talking. This bullshit about Americans not protesting other injust wars is intolerable, especially in light of this week's tragic death of Rachel Corrie, run over by an Israeli bulldozer. You may not have agreed with her, but she had the strength to back up her convictions. She was doing her best to confront injustice. So shut the fuck up, Trask, and have a moment of silence to support the people who fight the good fight even if they're not wearing a uniform. Yea, Rachel Corrie: A real woman of peace. Looks to me like a tool of hatred.
  23. Unless an apostrophe is used. As in "This pussy's location is not making sense; Trask, where's your penis?" Or perhaps "Trask, pussy's not spelled "pussys" when pluralized; perhaps home-schooling wasn't a good idea if one's parents are orangutans?" Alright alright, my apologies for the sexist and speciesist humor; I've been doing construction lately (and the careerist humor!). SC, I'll bet your fellow construction workers think you're a pussy!? ...and probably a little scary too.
  24. Aren't "horses", and "asses" two different subjects? I think the (drunken) Washington State Supreme Court would have had to rule this Seattle-Pansi inspired initiative unconstitutional.
  25. One man should not possess that kind of power. Hey, I thought you said at least once that you didn't support Kyoto either. Now you're gonna use that same issue to bash Bush?? Hmmm.
