I see several German made H&K's in that collection. They should be melted down and replaced with "allied" weapons.

Jim here is a reply from McCain to your man Byrd
Fairweather replied to Peter_Puget's topic in Spray
Ahh yes....The Honorable Senator Robert Byrd. Senior Senator.... ....and former KKK recruiter/member. His words mean nothing. -
"I heard on NPR" ...then it must be true!

Here are some pics. The face just above the basin is about 40 to 50 degrees and had tracks on it when we passed it on our way to do the "normal" Deception Glacier. Looks like it would be a beautiful climb! Note: photo shows about the top 50% of the face. "Honeymoon Route" goes up the couloir to the right of the big black tower.

Even in a "normal" snow year you can usually access Royal Basin by May 01. The lake won't be melted out, but you wont hit snow until you pass the lower meadow. I've climbed Deception, Fricaba, Warrior, others in that rain shadow area....always in late April/early May. Should be good access this year too!

You're right! Dan Rather obviously has hired Saddam to stand-in for him on the CBS Evening News.
-
Yea, and you're a portrait of neutrality. I don't know upon what planet you reside, but usually burning the flag of one's own country equals hatred/disdain for said nation. ....that's how I can say that. But regardless, you missed my point.

Look OW, I am sad that a young girl died. I don't know what her views/politics were prior to her enrollment at ESC, but I think that the public, and certainly the family of this young miss, should take a long, hard look at what the role of the college is. Especially the professor involved in this program. (Is this the same guy who got his class arrested in Mexico?) A 23 year old girl thought she was invincible and that her views were right absolute. Perhaps a professor with an agenda took advantage of that youthful exhuberance. From the looks of the photos, she hated her country (not a crime!) and wanted to express that hatred in front of children already surrounded by enough anger. I'm sorry, but she was not a peacemaker. I won't try to engage you re the Palestinian-Isreali conflict at this point. Needless to say, my sympathies lie (mostly) with Isreal. I don't think there is enough evidence at this point to judge the driver of the dozer. (Unless you want to rely solely on the testimony of her cohorts.)

Get a grip, Off White. You and yours want to make some kind of saint out of this woman when the facts-ignored by you-demonstrate she was partisan. You don't know the situation any better than I do, but if this is what Evergreen does with their "blank slates", I can guarantee you there will be hell to pay. I'm sure she was a good, friendly, and obviously idealistic individual. But don't try to cannonize her. She knew the deal.

...More Rechel Carrie. Woman of principle: Apparently burnin' the American flag shows these little children the path to peace. I call it: "Blinded by Hatred".

Trask, go back to your room and shut up while the adults are talking. This bullshit about Americans not protesting other injust wars is intolerable, especially in light of this week's tragic death of Rachel Corrie, run over by an Israeli bulldozer. You may not have agreed with her, but she had the strength to back up her convictions. She was doing her best to confront injustice. So shut the fuck up, Trask, and have a moment of silence to support the people who fight the good fight even if they're not wearing a uniform. Yea, Rachel Corrie: A real woman of peace. Looks to me like a tool of hatred.

Unless an apostrophe is used. As in "This pussy's location is not making sense; Trask, where's your penis?" Or perhaps "Trask, pussy's not spelled "pussys" when pluralized; perhaps home-schooling wasn't a good idea if one's parents are orangutans?" Alright alright, my apologies for the sexist and speciesist humor; I've been doing construction lately (and the careerist humor!). SC, I'll bet your fellow construction workers think you're a pussy!? ...and probably a little scary too.

Aren't "horses", and "asses" two different subjects? I think the (drunken) Washington State Supreme Court would have had to rule this Seattle-Pansi inspired initiative unconstitutional.

One man should not possess that kind of power. Hey, I thought you said at least once that you didn't support Kyoto either. Now you're gonna use that same issue to bash Bush?? Hmmm.
-
There are two ways to view this. Either it's a consensual act or it's a display of dominance. Maybe Fairweather has a room in his basement full of whips, chains, and leather. Dude, You're the one who puts on a harness, wraps his arms and legs around a "big trunk" , climbs up and down all day. Then stuffs the evidence into a chipper like that fella in the movie "Fargo". And lets not even talk about about "grade school" politics. Your thoughts/research on most issues don't seem to run very deep. Hey, why did you lose your "M" badge?

They kind of look like Kurdish women..... except they're not lying dead, gassed, clutching their infant children in an alley like Saddam prefers them.
-
I'm glad I have a president that won't bend over and take it in the ass from UN goof-balls and other assorted leftist kooks. These folks are still fuming over Kyoto; a grand plan to bilk the USA out of hundreds of billions $$ by forcing us to "purchase" CO2 "credits" from less fortunate nations. Anyway.... I digress.

Glacierdog, Keep the sand outta your action and keep your ass safe! Don't know if you're on land, or at sea, but I salute you. ...Shit! We need a "saluting graemlin".
-
71% of Americans now support military action in Iraq. That's up over 20% from Feb. Looks like the (so-called) peace protesters are losing the hearts and minds of the American people. Bush should never have gone to the UN. (Clinton sure didn't when he hit Baghdad and Belgrade.) It just emboldened these clueless anti-Bush protesters. Hey! Does anyone remember what happened to the people of Srebrenica...a UN declared "safe haven"? The UN politely stepped aside while the Serbs went in and massacred over 10,000. Yea....peaceniks, the French, and the UN. They'll keep the world safe.

A 7.62x39 bullet from an AK won't terminate-out nearly as fast as an American 5.56mm. (Wider profile, hence more drag) But the much heavier AK bullet will have more energy upon its return. I'm looking at terminal velocity formulas right now, but I'm pumped up on flu medicine, and in any case bullet nose shape, tumbluing, spin, air temp/density, and other variables I can't even fathom are involved. But I believe the answer is yes.....a falling bullet will easily pierce a human skull. And yes, it is hard to understand the mentality. As far as pennies, not the crappy zinc ones they mint now-a-days. Maybe the real copper ones made when I was a youth, could do some damage. Now an Eisenhower Dollar (you remember those dinner plates?) could really mess someone up bad!

= lower food costs for America and the world. ...I know you think we should all be eatin' soy and tofu, and now you're going to spout some anecdote about x-number of acres of grain feeding y number of people versus cattle. Just remember; "public lands" means just that. Not your land, everybody's land. ....I will add that it is wrong to subsidize Canadian mining companies extracting ore from American public lands.

I won't do any Rainier route without without a standard axe and one of these..... Weighs only 17 ounces. Great for pounding pickets or for short patches of moderate ice. Grivel "3rd tool". Best $83 I've ever spent.

Hey, I just heard that the French Government banned "Euro-Disney" from doing their nightly fireworks show.... .....The French army kept trying to surrender.

i hope you are not referring to me as one of the "lefties" cause i think all you "political" folk bent on "telling" us make me laugh! I'd never pick a fight with a moderator. (except Alpine K)
