How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!

My 2000 750cc Honda Nighthawk gets about 55mpg hwy...but only about 22 with Tvashtarketena's wife riding on the back.
-
Tvash says you are lying. Only two petrol cars ever got over 40mpg - and your choice was not one of them. Tvashtarketena has spoken. Tvashtarketena has the EPA milage estimates at his fingertips. It is not possible that anyone but Tvashtarketena is correct. Please step up to your intellect, OW.

17P/Holmes. I've been watching it for the past month up on the hill behind Pierce College with the Tacoma Astronomical Society. Its coma is now almost as large as the sun and there's quite a buzz as to why it flared up to magnitude 3 last month. Probably a gas pocket breaking out into open space. I guess the tail broke off last night, but I haven't had time to look - and the weather's been shitty anyhow. You can see it with the naked eye in Perseus right now - if its clear enough. It has a period of only 7 years and did the same thing back in the late 1800's I guess. Weird stuff.

"No Country For Old Men" comes out on film next week. Probably one of the most violent books I've read. McCarthy kills off the main character and pretty much every other person in the story - except the bad guy. Evil prevails. I wonder if they rewrote the ending for this pic.

Cool website for anyone interested in identifying night sky objects from the comfort of home - or during those cold alpine starts. Open source. Been using it for almost a year now - far better than anything I've ever paid for: http://www.stellarium.org/

OMG...you're making me... ...*sniff*... ... STFU, Shitfeather. Fuck off, vacuous moron. I know the truth about you.... Asperger syndrome Classification & external resources ICD-10 F84.5 ICD-9 299.8 OMIM 608638 DiseasesDB 31268 MedlinePlus 001549 eMedicine ped/147 Asperger syndrome (also Asperger's syndrome, Asperger's disorder, Asperger's, AS, or AD) is one of several autism spectrum disorders (ASD) characterized by difficulties in social interaction and by restricted and stereotyped interests and activities. AS is distinguished from the other ASDs in having no general delay in language or cognitive development. Although not mentioned in standard diagnostic criteria, motor clumsiness and atypical use of language are frequently reported.[1][2] Asperger syndrome was named after Hans Asperger who, in 1944, described children in his practice who appeared to have normal intelligence but lacked nonverbal communication skills, failed to demonstrate empathy with their peers, and were physically clumsy.

The greatest transport aircraft in aviation history.

I give up. Even when we try to engage you in civil discussion, your personality defect rises to the surface. You have a disorder. Time to face it.

Yes. If Airbus could just get those composite tail fins to stay glued to the fuselage they'd be onto something big.

See above. 1995 Toyota Tercel. 5.9gal - 244miles. Rechecked about 30 times in past 3 1/2 years. I'm glad you're here to tell me what I think I know. Par for the course.

My 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4.0ltr Prerunner is getting 22mpg hwy. EPA mpg is only 19. Either Toyota is low balling, or EPA is establishing ratings pre break in period.
-
Hmmm. My wife was looking at one last year and I was sure the sticker read 42hwy. But 37 claimed ain't too bad. About the same as the Smart Car and twice/thrice the room. Still not sure why Smart Car doesn't do better. Your Tercel numbers are flat wrong. We go round trip Tacoma to Bellingham on 5.9 gallons. 244 miles r/t. 1995; automatic trans. OK...41.3.
-
That's all the mpg Smart Cars get?!?! Shit, my daughter's Toyota Tercel gets 43hwy, and the new Corollas are rated 42!

Rumor has it there's lots more up here...

Hell, don't you Canadian Lemmings just do it all by yourselves?

The Rebel is barely freeway capable. At 60mph the bike vibrates so badly you can't see images in the mirrors and your feet vibrate so badly they go numb. I rode my wife's old Rebel across the Tacoma Narrows in a storm years ago - the buffeting was barely manageable. I'm sure more dampening, efficiency and counterbalance would make this a great bike, but it's really only an in-town commuter. Yamaha makes a neat little 250 Virago as well - maybe the V-formation is a little quieter than Honda's in-line. Strangely, I've seen a lot of guys out on the road with Honda Helux 250cc scooters. Some of them are touring hundreds of miles from home!

Their stategery was ineffective.

Agree. I'm with you and ericb on this one. Until populations fully recover, it is irresponsible for any nation - traditional or otherwise - to hunt whales. Even then, they just seem too magnificent to kill. I'm very pro-hunter, but I don't care for this at all. Killing a creature that will swim right up to your boat and allow you to scratch its belly doesn't seem very sporting - or right.

Take Tvashy out and teach him some rope management skills, for God's sake! Just don't forget your belay device!

Not a very good one either. Despite your own wavering declarations, you ventured down to this event with an agenda. I don't subscribe to the idea that opinion-reporting is inherently wrong, but I do believe in disclosure. Don't try to pretend you're just a neutral observer who, once on site, had some kind of epiphany.

Of course. It was those damn "Silversteins" again. Hey V! I'll just bet "The Goldsteins" and "The Solheims" were in on it too. Get a life.
