Just got my first real road bike this week after riding a hybred bike for the past 3 years WOW what a difference clip on shoes the whole bit . Most of my riding is to work and back (about 13 miles each way but do like to get out for longer rides . Gotta get those covers for the shoes though took over an hour to thaw out the toes when I got home.I been looking for you Jon I usually get to Mercer Island about 8:35 or so when I have the day shift.Ran into a C.C. poster about a month ago late at night he was coming from Amazon.com and I from U-dist we started talking on the bridge. I don't think he posts much and I forgot his name . If your out there Email me maybe we can ride in together sometime. I rarely (well never) ride with anyone else but with a better bike now I can hold a better pace Next time I will search for partners with more of a notice just couldn,t get back to sleep that day and got antsy.

I used to serve meals to the crew of Aeroflot. When in Seattle they stay at the hotel I used to work at . They would come in the bar for lunch. The stewardesses ate like lumberjacks and put soy sauce in the chowder ,thats right all of them .I don't think they were very happy people. Maybe it was my"Better dead than red "t-shirt that put them off. Seriously though if I were single and a rich yuppie I would love to do something like that , wait a minute if I was single and rich I would be using drugs again.either way I am good

Conditions as of Sept3 were straight forward according to the route conditions report but that could have changed easily. I too am thinking of doing it in the next couple weeks with another . If you guys want to make it 4 let me know.

I remember back in school 70's. I would sweat every levy election because the threat of sports being cut was always there . I think that sports are very important . As important as any school subject or activity.If I wasn't allowed to run track in High School it would have been one of the biggest let downs of my life . Those coaches don't make squat either they do it because they love it.My track coach was a math teacher , coach and bartender to support his family of eight . He even took us around to other states and Canada to run in the summer on his own time and expense. I think this is the type of person a lot of our teachers are ......PAY THEM

I will be calling in a rental order for Scarpa Invernos 10.5 later think you can kick the mud off a pair for me.I would go elsewhere but I need the Invernos as they are wider in the front and bunion friendly. No one else rents Invernos that I know of . If I am wrong let me know please
