  3. Interval workouts will burn fat unless you are using a long rest period . Keep it intense with short rest periods and be true to yourself. If you are a slacker give it up this is not for you Don.t need the equations for proper mass or whatever don't check my heart rate and manage to get the job done. I cannot believe all the dweebs that buy into all of this crap , personal trainers please give me a break if I want a cheerleader I will join the football team grow a pair and get it done HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AHHHHHHHH

  7. Great subject!I don't think I have seen this on the site . When trying to get the most out of my humble conditioning I realize that mental Is a lot of it . That whole intervals timed rest period thing requires a whole lot of convincing myself that I can finish at a pace acceptable to me . It never seems as bad when it is over and remembering the spots where you had to motivate yourself to finish the drill are rewarding and give me confidance to maybe add on some more time or maybe a faster pace next time.I will have to read the Mark Twight book thanks for all the advice . It is nice to learn to improve.I am sure I will never do the things that alot of you do.I used to parachute a long time ago but heights while hanging off the side of vertical rock concerns me. I will stick to slogging as many dog routes on Rainier to test my conditioning a few times a year and similar things . To each his own right
  8. Can you imagine how screwed up the D.C. would be if there were more than the Rmi groups up there guiding. I say they were first and are professional let em keep it . I am sick of that route anyways

  10. There is only one at the Y and that is plenty I have never seen anyone on it. Seems to be a good substitute for the hills however , if you can;t get out often like me . Hopefully it will keep me fighting ready so my next suffer fest is not as bad as they always seem to be by the second day on the Rainier slogs
  11. It is easy to have the wrong idea about someone on TV or the internet for that matter. God knows I am very misunderstood. Jeff Renner gave a talk and was guest of the club that I work as a waiter/bartender he gave a marine weather talk and was very nice .I'm a happy guy
  12. Good thoughts and prayers for those guys . What a rugged night this will be for them . I am d.c. slogger and this doesn't sound like the kind of experience I would welcome, although even I feel that I could make it a night or 2 with the extra weight in my pack.

  19. Well I am occasionally a hot head and it is a flaw . Pride is a touchy thing to some people and I am one of em. Occasionally I feel I can add something to this site with some worth and that was the case this time. When it got pulled I well ,was hurt. Once again I must have my foot removed from mouth.   21. Apparently Jon however can write any ole swill he chooses on the subject. Body builders do ALOT more than crunches Hanging frog kicks,etc.. low fat when aiming for the abs that everyone adores . I have worked out with and have known personally many body builders and the ripping process to bring the abs out without fat on them starts about 6 weeks before the competition. I can't believe that you think crunches will do the trick . Typical bullshit from jon.kiss my ass wannabe

My informattion is accurate to the T and there was no profanity. whats the problem? a little LARSON BASHING or what????????? Here's your post Dannyboy. 3 things absolutely needed for the beautiful ab deal . They are Cardio exercise, abdominal exercise and a low fat diet . Unfortuneatly all 3 are needed 2out of 3 won't cut it . If it was easy everyone would have em. By the way I don.t have the desire to do the low fat thing but you can still have a flat stomach (or close ) if you do lots of crunches and cardio

  24. I have done the D.C. more than a couple of times and I could not imagine turning around and doing it again Immediatly . I would have to think about it for a million bucks but maybe not even then . If I did there would be tears in my eyes the whole way
  25. Not to take the attention away from Traskie but this reminds me I really would like to leave my place of employment too many flakes and pussy brown nosers for me. Anyone know of a decent establishment that needs a 20 year bartender. As each day passes I get less and less choosie. I figured since most of ya spend your non-climbing time in pubs ya might have heard of something. Just networking , let me know
