Just got back from my first trip to Cody! What fun. It worked well under the storm pattern on the west coast. >>>No Avvy Danger! The concentration of ice is extraordinary. Once you get there , you can drive by 40 ice routed=s in 10 miles! Try that in Banff.. We had a good time in Pine Creek(Montana) on the way there> Green Gully didnt surive the avvy test. In Cody we managed Stringer, Too Cold to Fire (great hike too) , Sendero, (got scooped on Moratorium twice), And the complete Main Vein in Arctic conditions. It was cold and windy and snowing.. But It was a great time!

Interesting how this thread revived after my link? I found out a bit about Mr Thurner since I saw his photos. He is a very dedicated 'gragher with a penchant for summit bivies.It is unbelievable that he captured Fury so well-from Despair! It is a cool thing to bring art to our little hobby!

Yes find a partner that knows a bit about the area, . Expect a learning curve either way. Except for the well known(crowded) select. It is not an easy range to navigate of find reliable success.

Coming from a religious background, I understood how people could not accept the Bibles tenants, but I struggled to see how people could be against them. It wasnt until I witnessed GWs abuse of the church and his systematic destruction an demoralization of this country that it started to sink in. I knew there were some fundamentalist wackos out there too, but I never thought they would gain a strangle hold on media sources and spread there poison into the ballot box.
