For me its the top of the manhood, and so I have gotten used to it. Even if I wear rainpants over my padded shorts I still get the same darned effect.

I have always felt sorry for Joseph. Had a wife, but never had fun. Had to think once in while, what if my wife.... Then his kid would always tell him how he sinned...and the kid was ALWAYS right. Oi.

Excellent post. Sometimes it takes others a lifetime to make this realization. I hope you do not lose this perspective.

What do you wear to keep the head of manhood from freezing? I don't seem to have a good enough idea to have a comfortable ride.

I have a 100oz bladder. On single day outings I put in 2 cans of frozen concentrate Apple Juice and then load the rest with water. Total calories = 1400. Higher than any gatorade or cytomax combo I have found. In addition, two frozen concentrates are equal to $1.76 (Winco) and I have found that is cheaper than gatorade or cytomax. In addition, the only ingredient is: concentrated apple juice: No chemicals whatsoever. Cheaper. More calories. No chemicals.

human evolution is now at a crawl with the advancement of medical wonders. people who are alive that were deemed to die by the way of natural evolution are spouting offspring....which means more nominations in the future for the Darwin awards.

By that same token Woodinville, Chealis and Centralia should be abandoned. Good point. Becuase I do not believe in FEMA. Especially for all those hurricane folk. If you decide to live in the path of hurricanes, then you gotta pay for it. Your choice.

Archy: I am glad the government helps out in mountain rescues. Most of the time a rescue is issued becuase of poor judgement. So I try to keep the same philosophy. Most of those people who have the bad loans did not want to be in this same predicament either. I am sure most feel terrible. They made poor judgement. And although it takes my money or reduces my equity I realize I live in a world where others and myself make poor judgements all the time. I have a hard time with New Orleans. I think New Orleans should be abandoned becuase of the geographic location--Mother Nature is going to win the battle. But what do I do?

If you do "cascade climbers" it sounds as if he is wooing you. pretty cool

I agree. I do think the Yakima detour is the best--becuase other people are thinking exactly like you are. Especially the truckers where time and distance is money.

I like Ron Paul. I would have a tough decision if it was Ron Paul versus Dennis Kucinich. Neither are perfect, but close to what I believe. I like Ron's libertarian stance becuase people do not understand that health care and social security are a privelege and not a right in the U.S. It goes back to the basic philosophy of people WANTING rather than GIVING. You don't like it? Then change the US Constitution. Education and Health Care? Is the state's responsibility IMO.

Eventually I would like to meet this person becuase he is all over cc.com:

None of the discussions above make any relevance in reducing costs until people start to "shop around". Hell if I had "gasoline insurance" I would never shop around for the lowest cost provider.

then why don't you move to die Schweiz or Sweden? Hmm? I would love to. But the wife said NO--becuase it would be too far from her family. yeah, blame it on the wife. got to blame it on the wife. Climbing in Switzy and Dolomites beats the North Cascades and she knows I would climb more if I lived there. More choices. Better rock. Better access.

I haven't decided yet if I would have had the surgery or not if I'd known about the cost. Wait until I can see the complete results of the work that was done and then I bet I will know the answer. In my case, there was no alternate procedure. The alternative would have been to continue living in constant pain, as I had for 8 years prior to having the work done. That said, I still don't know how the hell I'm going to pay for this. Shop around for the cost. Ask, "How much will this cost, and what do I get out of this?" In addition, don't just shop around in the US. See if going overseas to Singapore will benefit you too. I have heard of places like Singapore and Hong Kong that have US trained doctors. After you are done with the surgery, you get a 5 day vacation at the spa where you have the surgery. Find out how much it costs, talk to your insurance company and see if they would be willing to pay for your airfare too.
