god no! why would i go and do a thing like that??? i left work at 3:30 today and the traffic sucked the worst i've seen it since i started this job. i'm blaming it on the weather because the traffic sucked after 6pm yesterday, too. and to stay on topic, vantage can often be a good alternative.

thank god for crappy weather this weekend. i have a test i need to study for!

nice!!! constance is such a beautiful climb. it was my very first mountaineering trip and we only roped up for the terrible traverse. it didn't seem that bad, but i could imagine it being pretty sketchy depending on conditions.

great show! i wish i had eaten before i showed up, though - "refreshments" was a stretch. but once gator started talking i forgot all about how hungry and thirsty i was. he had some super photos, and all his talk and enthusiasm got me stoked on rainier again.

i don't think i'd use nail polish and don't know of anybody who does. (that's more for marking hardware - like chuck said.) lots of folks use a sharpie marker.

many people use their fat ropes. not really worth buying a new rope if you're hardly going to use it!
