  4. i never saw that show. i get like 7 channels with my rabbit ears.
  5. well, i couldn't find any absinthe at nordstrom's so i got some "just moo!" instead. probably goes better with oreo's anyway.
  6. i wish i was drinking absinthe. i've never had it before, but i think it would greatly fit my mood.
  7. well, i'm sure you've read that AT boots are neither great skiers nor hikers. but in the right conditions, skinning is most certainly nicer than hiking! carrying downhill ski gear sucks but it's do-able and makes the skiing much easier. (you might also need snowshoes, though.) skiing in hiking boots - well, i wouldn't go there myself but there are people who do. how much and what kind of climbing/skiing do you really intend to do? and single or multiple day outings?
  8. the three button ones have the third button on the side for your thumb. you can program it to do any number of things. i've used one with it as a back key and it's awesome for websurfing.
  9. i can see where the lack of water makes the canned goods more valuable, but it's not just the weight i would be concerned about - it's also the unforgiving bulk. personally i try to pick out hearty foods that pack well, and cans just wouldn't cut it in my 35L pack. but i guess if it is just one night (and one can) it might not really be an issue. and ravioli sounds damned good!!!
  10. well, the mini mouse goes either way; not sure about the 3-button one.
  11. i haven't done that route, but if i was going i would take more than 3 screws based on what i've read. won't hurt you to carry a couple/few more. also, not sure what your plan was, but when i was at paradise last weekend the rangers were saying NOT to camp at hazard. have a great climb and take pics please!
  12. canned food? are you nuts???
  13. thanks, chelle. i've come across one or two of those. i'm pretty conscientious but bikes move fast (and many don't stay in line in traffic) so it can be easy to miss them if they didn't happen to be where you were looking at the time.
  14. i'll have to look for those. probably 75% of the time i go to get the dried un-sugared un-sulphured mangoes they are out of those.
  15. i use a miniature wireless optical mouse at work when i'm not using the touchpad on my laptop. love that thing even though it eats batteries like a bear. it's got two buttons and a roller thingy in the middle. those three-button mice are rad!!!
  16. people are strange.
  17. two hands to right click?
  18. ouch; that sucks about your injury ... but the photos really are sweet!
  19. hey squid, an hrm is a great idea! i wish i had one myself and think i will get one if i decide to "train" to run again. before, i wondered why i could run so many miles every week and not lose any weight. it was annoying as all get out, and i'm pretty sure it's because i was running too hard (because i certainly wasn't eating any more or differently).
  20. i've always wanted to do that route. nice work!
  21. or you can pay $10 for one car and one person one time ...
  22. trader joe's has some fancy flavored nuts. like coconut cashews ... YUM!
  23. the hilleberg akto might be worth looking at. not sure if you're looking for 1- or 2-person deals ...
  24. fortunately that doesn't generally happen. i can totally envision that dude sitting there all decked out getting a tan!
