Alright, the pub club was attended by several CC.com regulars as stated by Erik. But the best was yet to come, after everyone else left, Jeff, Hikerwa and TTT, met a friendly "young" filly. She really had a thing for Jeff causing much jelousy between us. She was a pretty thing named Saki.
unfortunately none of us got to "bag" her, she ended up leaving with another, perhaps her brother before things could progress any futher.

Gag loudly, and make gross exgaggerations to how nasty it smells. Make a huge deal of it, then it's over, and all will return to normal. (this is especially true if it was your own fart!)
Aluminium is the way to go, and even then I've seen many crumple on our wonderful cement-like snow. At least with Aluminium you can always bend it back into shape, plastic breaks - gone
I'll finally come clean. I am RURP, BURP, Pope, Dwayner, offwidthclimber, Beck, Hollyclimber, ehmic, carolyn, jules, Erik, lambone and cpt. caveman.
I hope your all happy....
I have an etrex too, the track back is invaluable on nasty poor visibility days in the mountains...or for tricky approaches..And you can upgrade the firmware inside to stay with the current release.(although I have no idea how)
The only thing that sucks is batteries, for onger trips it means extras...more weight.
I find myself in Vegas for that weekend with out anyone to climb with, if anyone will be in the area I'd love to hook up, I will have access to a car, and am worse at gambling than I am climbing! (hard to believe)I'm pretty sure I can find someone to climb with there.
PM me if you can hook up.
thanks,
sean
Matt,
I agree that rock fall is a MAJOR hazard on the Gib Ledges. I was there several years ago in May and there was tons of rock comin down early, if we would have come down the same way we probably would have been pummelled.
