    Good lyrics

Down down, you bring me down I hear you knocking at my door and I can't sleep at night Your face, it has no place No room for you inside my house I need to be alone Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you I don't care where you've been or what you plan to do Turn turn, I wish you'd learn There's a time and place for everything I've got to get it through Cut loose, you're no use I couldn't stand another second in your company Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you I don't care where you've been or what you plan to do Stone me, why can't you see You're a no-one nowhere washed up baby who'd look better dead Your tongue is far too long I don't like the way it sucks and slurps upon my every word Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you I don't care where you've been or what you plan to do I am the resurrection and I am the light I couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like I am the resurrection and I am the light I couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like
  2. This weather pattern might give us some really great alpine neve conditions in late December. All we need is a couple of cold clear days after is stops raining and we will be set! Fuck Freshies pray for alpine ice!!!!!!
  3. SEWS is not going to be in. With the recent snowfall we have had you will have trouble finding anything that is not burried, and anything that is steep enough to not be burried will likley not be in. YOu may want to have a look around Snoqualmie, but I would guess you are just going to be tramping around in the snow. I think you need to wait a couple more weeks.
  4. From my one experience up there hunter should be done fairly early. If you get a warm spell while you are on one of the ridges you are hosed.
  5. Does anyone have contact info for Leyland Windham? If so could you please PM me with it? Thanks
  6. Is there something particular that makes you think anyone would want to wear a shirt that is based on your personal life?
  7. They are great for kicking cats.

    Hate November?

Bullshit. there is almost always one weekend in November with good weather and great neve conditions on at least one peak somewhere. Last weekend hood was in excellent shape, and so was some of the stuff at cascade pass. Last year in November Joffre was in excellent shape. Look around any you will find some of the best climbing of the year in November. So quit your fucking bitching and get out and climb something.
  9. Its not bad, but if you were thinking on going there tomorrow there will be a whole lot of mountain rescue folk up there training.
  10. Jesus Dude you sound like king 5 news! No it does not mean imminent erruption, or really much of anything, other than there was an earthquake. An isolated earthquake such as this one with no further quakes afterward is very normal in a dormant volcano. If there really was any sort of magma movement they would know it, and there would have been a hell of a lot more earthquakes from areas deeper than this. Look back at the data from the 1980 St. hellens erruption, and the erruption of Piatubo. There was months of earthquakes prior to erruption, and in both cases the magma was tracked up by steadily shallower quakes. This set of quakes is more likely due to a lack of any new heat in the system and contracting rocks breaking due to cooling. In otherwords it may signal less activity in the near future.
  11. Nope that is not the artical I am talking about. The artical I am talking about was a very complete study that covered all types of rope damage, and fall senarios. I will see what I can do to dig it up.
  12. There is a study from the BMC that was published a few years ago that says in short "ropes dont break" even when stood on by crampons, and speared with picks. I cant find the artical, but Ade might know where it can be found. I would guess that the small stress put on a rope by driving a crampon through it, does not weaken it as much as tying a knot in it, so the breaking point of the rope is still the knot, but in almost every case your ice pro will fail first.
  13. In late summer when the oregon grape berries are nice and ripe gather a hand full, and on the next little rock step that you encounter knock a small rock down it and yell a bit. Crush the handfull of oregon grapes in your hand and watch your climbing partners shit them selfs for a couple of seconds. Did this a few years ago and it worked very effectivly. Lined a coworkers file cabinet drawer with garbage bags filled with water and gold fish. closed draw and left a can of fish food on his key bored. He was really confused about the fish food until he opened the drawer later that day.
  14. Diesels always have higher particulates than gas engines. I did not try to say that they have lower particulates than gasoline, and if you have a well tuned deisel and a crappy gasoline engine then your statement above is not true. In addition you should not forget that Gasoline is much more refined than deisel fuels, which in effect just places the extra polution at the refinery rather than the tail pipe. I am not trying to say the deisels are the end all be all of green vehicals, the are definatly not, but they do get much better gas milage, and they are not the foul smelling black smoke spewing vehicals they used to be.
  15. Actually newer deisels that are properly maintained have very little particulate emissions.
  16. Bullshit I can go 400 kms on a 30 liter tank in a 90 Subaru Legacy The 1990 legacy 4wd gets a stated milage of 25 mpg. The stated milage is always a conservative estimate. you are claiming 31 mpg. I call bullshit. Assuming that is that you do have the legacy 4wd. Even if you dont, the 2wd version still only gets 28 mpg. So I call bullshit and stick with my claim the subarus get shitty gas milage.
  17. If you are looking for good gas milage stay away from 4 wheel drive. I dont have it never have and I just drive a little slower than others, I have never had a problem. If there is that much snow on the roads, you cant fucking climb anything anyway. Definatly stay away from subarus if you want gas milage because they suck gas. YOu might want to look at a jetta TDI wagon.
  18. I would agree with Alex here. I found hwy 1 very scary to drive in winter. The truck drivers are a fucking hazard to every other vehical on the road. Go through washington and cut up from spokane.
  19. The access funds severe pro bolt stance is the reason I will never join.
  20. "ummm, uhhhhh, duhhhh evil doers want to kill your babies"
  21. Thats kind of like developing the most enviromenatally sensitive nuclear weapon in the history of weapons. What a crock of shit. If you want enviromental sensitivity make do with what you already have and use a well established ski area like hood.
  22. I spent several weeks in Talkeetna in October of 1999 I think, and I can tell you at that time of year there is fuck all to do except drink, and watch the rivers freeze.
  23. Oh and one more thing. It is still dumping snow up their right now.
  24. I am. Even with several days of sunny weather, the amount of snow dumped last weekend would still be on all the ledges and dripping. Unless we get several weeks of warm sun, this route will likely not be dry again this year.
  25. There was somewhere in the range of three feet of snow dumped on the thing last week. On the summit of Dragontail on sunday there was enough snow that it was impossible to find the summit register. There were 4 of us digging for about a half hour. The north side of Stuart was almost completely white. IF I had my pictures developed I would post one, but it looked like full on winter conditions.
