  3. So what's stopping you? Go for it. Just do us all a favor and tell the authorities before you go that you do not want anyone to come looking for you if you don't return.
  4. maybe these guys can help you ??? Bradley Alpinist
  5. you should meet in E-burg ... I'm sure there are a couple of Central Wildcat goat ropers that would let you park your horse in their pasture for a couple of days

  10. thought of that one ... TG IPA is always a good reason ... a little too smokey (at least the last time I was there) and we didn't really want to be right downtown PDX Winter, rbw1963, MtnHigh, Sketchfest, Funguy, Nolse ... help me out here
  11. Any of you life long PDXer's have any ideas on a place to have a small office party, preferably off of I-205, SE Vancouver or NE Portland/Gresham Small group approx 12-15 people. A place with some fun and activity, maybe some pool, darts, etc ... not to smokey, with good food, music, maybe sports bar kind of thing. No wet T-shirt contest's and such since the wives will be in attendance
  12. Doing some Xmas shopping this evening and ran across these. They had approx 10-12 of each size along with a few silver and blue Aliens

  14. you guys rock ... nice job, thanks for all you do. question ... I made a post yesterday and wanted to edit it today. I don't see a "edit" icon, however when I post this reply I see the "edit" icon????
  15. Can't go wrong with a Chernobyl. This summer I pick up a MEC's Alpinelite 30 which can easily do an overnighter if not 2 nights depending on your style.
  16. Dave ... on your site you mention the use of the lighter weight "military/hikers" tape-webbing. I'm curious ... for a non-load bearing set-up why not do away with the webbing all together and just use shock cord. Perhaps not as durable but less pieces/parts/labor, etc...
  17. and having sex is the same as rape?
  18. Quite disappointing indeed .. certainly something to keep in mind the next time you make a purchase ... It drives my wife nuts when she mentions something she is thinking about buying ... first thing I ask ... " is it made in China?" One thing that I particularly find disappointing about BD, with their new factory in China, is that the mere presence of the factory seems in direct conflict with their own "Vendor Code of Conduct" particularly when is comes to discrimination based on religious and political beliefs. Vendor Code of Conduct
  19. Yep ... that's my buddy's dog As for the kitchen table and cot ... we found then stashed in the trees ... horse packers no doubt .. came in real handy
  20. Altasnob ... judging from the light in your photos I'm guessing you were on top after we departed. Here are a few turns down the Northeast slope heading back to camp in McCall Basin.
  21. I forgot about the time my brother almost got into it with a RMI guide at the top of the DC about '84 .... he accused us of knocking off a rock that ended up hitting one of his clients in the knee ... after it came whizzing by us
  22. Royal Columns ... Ball and Chain .. about '86. No fists just a bit of pushing and shoving. Not my group ... we were just witnesses not really a climbing area but once on the NF of Chair about '91 or '92 ... didn't actually come to blows but it was awfully close
  23. don't count on it ... I know of at least 4 bodies heading in later this week
