NEXT TUESDAY (FEB 3) SPECIAL SCHOOL LEVY ELECTION IN SEATTLE! GO VOTE FOR THEM. BTW: "Both measures renew existing levies, are part of the District's 10-year levy plan and will result in tax rates at or below current levels." i.e. if these levies lose, it will result in a cut in current school funding levels. These levies are not asking for a "raise". And if you don't want to vote for it, I'd love for you to post your rationalizations of how cutting school funding is going to 1) better the public education system in Seattle 2) better the ways of life for all those who have to live in a society full of illiterate morons.

What's the deal with this "banned CD that the government doesn't want you to see?" spam that has all the random words in it? I guess those random words must be meant to fool the spam filters?

You know the type. You're out on a climb and your partner has a headache. He lets you know. "Oh that's too bad. I got some ibuprofen in my pack. You want some?" Maybe he takes some maybe he doesn't. Then a little while later, you hear about the headache again. Then a little later. Then a little later again. Does this happen to you? Or is it just something about me that resembles a support group? Listen peoples, we are all sympathetic to your plights (well sometimes, the best of us are). But can we just be informed once? Or maybe twice, just to keep us abreast of the situation should it require action? I know it sounds cold-hearted, but the reality of the situation is, NOONE really "feels your pain". NOONE really cares about your headache unless it's going to make you turn around and ruin the climbing day for both of us. It doesn't do anybody any good to continually nag. Let's just please make the decision to either go home now, or just suffer and shut up.

But the sad fact is, when you got kids and a job, that it's usually worth it to just bend over and pay the $80, to take your skis home and get it done with. You often just don't have the time to make 3 more trips to REI. F*kkin' REI sucks. Scott shouldn'ta taken that crap, but I can sympathize with his situation.
