I like shorts over polypro. What bugs me is the fact that more and more there is no light-colored polypro available? WTF? Dark clothes are stupid in the mountains, at least in the summer. They suck up the sun and bake your ass, and according to Ray Jardine they attract more bugs. Unfortunately dark polypro under shorts looks a little less dorky (light colors make you look fat) so only the useless variety exists. I mean, c'mon, if you're wearing shorts over polypro, it's too late to be worrying about fashion. That's like ordering a diet Coke with your Big Mac. How's that Roark ol' budddy?

A provocative title for what I think is a more reasonable spray question: If you believe Tenet it's now becoming pretty obvious that BushCo distorted the truth to sell the war to the public. According to Tenet, the CIA never stated that there was an imminent threat, but many a speech by BushCo announced "without a doubt", "thousands of pounds o...", "no question in my mind"... etc.... I don't think there's any reason to argue this point. My question is, do you think it was justified? We obviously got a bad guy out of power, perhaps accomplished other things of which I am unclear, but maybe, showed the world we don't take any shit? Whatever the reasons for going to war, it is quite possible that BushCo would not have received congressional authorization had they been straight with the public about what we really knew. Do you think it was worth it? Perhaps they had a "gut feeling" that Saddam was dangerous, Tenet said they felt that way. Was it worth saying "Aw fuck it" and sealing the deal by deceiving all us dopey liberal fucktards, so we could do what's best for us? I'm not really asking for my fellow liberal fucktards to respond with another 10 pages of, "this war is bad, 500 soldiers dead, 10 thousand hospitalized, who knows how many Iraqi's... . Why go over that for the nth time? I'm asking you to give BushCo the benefit of the doubt and assume that they really were convinced that the war is in USA's best interest. Given this premise, is it justified to lie to the public in order to promote something as serious as a war?

BMI is a public health, crude first-screen type of thing. No more than that. No need to get worked up over it. Just a cue to ask yourself other questions like what's your BP, cholesterol, exercise habits, etc... If your doctor puts you on some expensive medication because of your BMI alone, get another doctor.

Hey Will, The best part is that, behind your back, the fucktards are all chafing and calling you an asshole computer-nazi power-tripper dickhead .
-
But if you don't use the damn belay loop then you don't have to worry about all that extra effort.

F*cking Black Diamond manipulative campaign
-
Do you take your belay device and biner on and off or something? What does multipitch have to do with it?
-
I just got me a Reverso though, so now that belay biner is gonna be clipped into the power point baby! Yeah.
-
Good footage of the Tooth! Makes me wanna go climbing. Stupid freshies .
-
I don't have a harness with a belay loop anymore, but I used to. I've always put the belay 'biner through the tie-in point. I've found that having the belay device closer to me makes it easier to bring in rope more quickly. Seems like having the belay device dangle down on that belay loop would be a PITA too. If this practice of mine is gonna kill me or my partner, I'd love to find this out before it does. An in depth explanation would also be appreciated.

^ bump ^ (and apparently it's more cities than Seattle too)

Good thinkin' Catbird, I like that idea.

Seattle Go vote for 'em, today (Tuesday). Or don't, just FYI. Continues current school funding levels. No increase in taxes above current levels.

Bush might wanna rethink continually making the CIA his scapegoat. They might come up with an October suprise of their own.

At least twice on this board you have deflected criticisms directed solely at the Bush administration by making statements about other politicians. If this is not defending Bush, then I must assume it is acquiescing that Bush is a slimy politician. Fine. You argree with me, a lot of "liberal fucktards" and all those Bush apologists.
-
It sure would be cool if you would can the "you're an idiot" thing and instead address ideas presented in the posts. The usual the next step after "everybody else is doing it too", is the namecalling. You're falling right into the predictable course of those who have nothing of substance to say, but are unable to shut up.

The real SuperBowl controversy should be over the refusal of CBS to air an anti-Bush ad. Check out the ad here. It is a very tasteful ad depicting kids working, asking who is going to pay off the Bush trillion-dollar deficit.
