larrythellama Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 #3 camalot is still considered a hand crack unless you have no technique or are a chick. Quote
G-spotter Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 what is you have no technique AND are a chick? is #3 camalot = chimney then? Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I recall Meatgrinder (in between Z Crack and Dogleg) having what seemed like a mandatory fist jam. Blue camalot for me is the transition from cupped hands to fist. True fist is more like #4 friend. Quote
RuMR Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 #3 camalot is still considered a hand crack unless you have no technique or are a chick. whatever, maybe if you are a fat fuck ...i use fist jams in #3 cracks, i ain't a chick and i know how to climb cracks... Quote
larrythellama Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I wish I was still fat, logging does not permit excess weight. And Rumor you are the size of a woman though!!! Quote
selkirk Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 #3 camalot is still considered a hand crack unless you have no technique or are a chick. In that case you must be 1 fat fucker My technique doesn't suck, and any time I start jamming forearms and throwing in arm-bars, it aint' no f-ing hand crack. I distinctly remember the topsection where I whish I knew how stack hands/fits, and throwing in a nice knee lock to rest on. I'll make you a deal... I'll belay you and you can take anything up to a 3.5 friend, which should be more than sufficient for "hands" I'd be fun to watch you try and stack cams or hexes to protect the top Mushmaker is perfect hands the whole way though! jmace Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 The Papoose. Laid Back is 70' of grunty hands and Mushroom is a sustained thin hand crack. Mercury Vapor looks excellent as well. In the Smoke Bluffs these routes would be more popular than Penny Lane, at the Papoose they go begging for climbers. Check them out. although I didnt make it to laid back..Mushroom is stellar and Mercury Vapour was awesome!!!! 10b...highly doubtful..more like 5.9..mushroom was more sustained. I bet Mushroom is the first crack to dry in all of squamish..in the sun, no trees on top, in fact the crack just blanks out at the anchor. I agree with Darren..Mushroom would have a line up and poished to shit..I would do it over and over again..next time ill walk over to laid back Quote

selkirk Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Thought I would revive this thread. I haven't done nearly enough crack climbing lately and hands are soft and weak I compiled all the posts into a single listing of grade, name, location, and crux/notes. A few of the climbs I don't know or don't know the grade on so I could use some help! Cheers! Josh 4488.txt Quote
flashclimber Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Way too much time on your hands. Maybe you should be crack climbing and not finger typing. Haha. Quote
