tvashtarkatena Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 at some point you'll have to sort out the anecdotal from the generalized case. There's one tactic for always being right. Quote

tvashtarkatena Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 well, the first rule of thumb is that power doesn't concede anything unless all other choices are worse for those in control. Hang around with many leaders? There are a shit ton of folks out there who give up a tremendous amount personally to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities to the organizations they lead. They delegate 'power' all the time to make those organizations more effective in their mission. Guess I must hang with a different crowd.... Quote

tvashtarkatena Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I'm gonna chalk this one up to yet another case of innernut disagreement hysteria. Don't strain your chain on the counterattack...you can easily hurt the bulging neck veins that way. Quote

I grew up watching coverage of the Vietnam war. I watched it pretty closely...my 2nd grade classmate's brother died there, and me pops was there for 2 years. The news didn't pull any punches in telling it like it was. Reporters risked and lost their lives telling it like it was.
